CSU Asesoft Ploiesti- Keravnos 90:87

CSU Asesoft Ploiesti tasted the initial win in EuroChallenge and finished Group B with 1-5 record. They did not however allow Keravnos advance to the next stage after 90:87 victory. The team from Cyprus dropped to the third place with 2-4 record.
The combined point differential in the two games would have to be over 55 points in Keravnos's favour, for the Cypriots to pry the ticket to the Last 16 away from Finnish hands. They could not however even win the game although started with 27-22 lead. Moreover the team from Cyprus added 21-15 in the second frame and led 11 points at the halftime. CSU Asesoft Ploiesti was too far to give up and posted two victories in the second half for the final success. The Romanian side needed a 27-18 surge in the third quarter and finished the game with 26-21 in the last stanza.
