Hainaut edged Pitesti as both teams face elimination of EuroChallenge. The Belgian team won 92:63 for 3-3 record in Group E. The Romanian side fell at 1-5 record on the last position.
Mons-Hainaut appeared better in the first half and posted two victories. They won the first quarter 25-19 and added 20-11 in the second frame. Moreover the court belonged to the Belgian team in the second half as well as Mons-Hainaut posted two other victories. The host won the third period 22-18 and finished the game with 25-15 in the last stanza.
Jonathan Wallace (187-G-86, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Georgetown) top-scored for the winners with 21 points and Monwell Randle (203-F/C-83, agency: Court Side, college: SE Missouri St.) notched 14. Brian Qvale (210-C-88, college: Montana) delivered 12, while Amaury Gorgemans (211-C-92) scored 10. Damien Kinloch (203-F-80, college: Tenn Tech) answered with 14 points in defeat and Pankracije Barac (196-G-81, agency: Court Side) notched 13. Marcel Jones (203-F-85, college: Oregon St.) had 12, whilst Daniel Popescu (183-PG-88) brought 8.

There are only two more rounds left in the Second Stage in Liga Nationala. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. The most important game in the last round took place in Pitesti between second ranked CSU Sibiu (16-10) and sixth ranked Pitesti (11-15) on Wednesday night. The game between Top Four teams took place in Sibiu. Third ranked host CSU Sibiu (16-9) smashed their biggest opponent Steaua CSM (15-10) 76-55.
