ICIM Arad, CSU Alba Iulia and Sepsi SIC reach Cup Semifinals after the second victories against their opponents. CSM Targoviste will face Danzio Timioara tomorrow and on January9th for the last ticket to Final Four.
ICIM Arad overcame CSM Satu Mare 81:51 and 79:66. In the second game Monika Boriga Brosovszky stepped up with 24 points and Kari Laplante (195-C-89, college: USC) collected 15 points and 11 rebounds. Susana Milovanovic poured in 12 and Christina Wirth (186-G/F-87, college: Vanderbilt) notched 11. Khadijah Whittington replied with 17 points and 11 rebounds in the losing effort.
CSU Alba Iulia edged CSBT Alexandria 86:71 and 65:54. In the second game Becca Tobin erupted with 27 points and 13 boards, while Amanda Thompson (183-F-87, college: Oklahoma) followed her with 12 points. Georgiana Viorela Rus had 16 in defeat, while Daniela - Adriana Bucica posted 11.
Sepsi SIC smashed Olimpia Bucureti 96:26 and 101:42. Jasmin Bailey (172-G/F-90, college: Ill.-Chicago) posted 23 points to lead all the winners and Mekia Valentine had 22. Alexandra Dumitrache (170-PG-94) scored 11 in defeat and Tunde Kilin added 10.
