The most important game in the last round took place in Alexandria between third ranked Satu Mare (12-3) and sixth ranked Alexandria (9-6) on Saturday night. Satu Mare was defeated by Alexandria in a tough game on the road 65-70. Satu Mare was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 20-14 charge of Alexandria, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 29 Satu Mare turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Satu Mare helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Ashley Arlen (187-90, college: Wayne St., NE, agency: Gamble Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import guard Shanita Arnold (165-89, college: Arizona, agency: Gamble Sports Management) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. American power forward Shanika Freeman (186-83, college: Jacksonville St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for Satu Mare. Satu Mare's coach Dan Fleseriu rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alexandria maintains sixth position with 9-6 record. Satu Mare at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. Alexandria are looking forward to face league's leader ICIM Arad on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Satu Mare will play against Cluj Napoca and is hoping to win this game.
