Host teams show no mercy winning all games.

An interesting game for Satu Mare (15-3) which hosted in Satu Mare 4th placed Alba Iulia (12-5). Third ranked Satu Mare managed to get a 11-point victory 76-65. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Alba Iulia. The game was mostly controlled by Satu Mare. Alba Iulia managed to win fourth quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Khadijah Whittington (185-86, college: N.Carolina St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. International guard Annemarie Parau (170-84) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists (made all of her seven free throws) for the winners. Russian-Israeli forward Ekaterina Abramzon (185-87) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for Alba Iulia. Satu Mare have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 15-3 record behind leader ICIM Arad. Alba Iulia at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Sf.Gheorghe. Satu Mare are looking forward to face Sp.Studentesc (#9) in Bucuresti in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Alba Iulia will play at home against the league's leader ICIM Arad (#1) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Liga Nationala top team - ICIM Arad (16-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Targu Mures (5-13) 107-40. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for forward Chrissy Givens (180-85, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Jennifer Risper helped adding 7 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. ICIM Arad's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side power forward Chantel Hilliard (187-90, college: Auburn) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. ICIM Arad have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-1 record. Targu Mures lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 13 games lost. ICIM Arad will play against Alba Iulia (#4) on the road in the next round. Targu Mures will play against Brasov (#8) and hope to get back on the winning track.

Other games in round 19 were not that significant. Sp.Studentesc was smashed by Targoviste on the road 92-50. Brasov destroyed Cluj Napoca on its own court 87-64. Rapid was outscored by Timisoara in a road game 89-62.
The most impressive performance of 19th round was 23 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals by Biljana Pesovic of Timisoara.


Targoviste - Sp.Studentesc 92-50

No shocking result in a game when second ranked CSM Targoviste (15-1) crushed at home 8th ranked Sp.Studentesc (8-10) 92-50. The game without a history. CSM Targoviste led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sp.Studentesc to just 4 points in second quarter. CSM Targoviste dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Sp.Studentesc's 18. CSM Targoviste forced 28 Sp.Studentesc turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Sp.Studentesc's players. It was a great evening for American power forward Ashley Walker (187-87, college: California) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds. LBRn point guard Matee Ajavon (170-86, college: Rutgers) helped adding 14 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Five CSM Targoviste players scored in double figures. At the losing side Bosnian forward Lejla Bejtic (175-85) responded with 13 points and Serbian center Vladinka Erak (190-84) scored 5 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CSM Targoviste have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 15-1 record behind leader ICIM Arad. Sp.Studentesc at the other side keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Brasov. CSM Targoviste will play against Craiova (#10) in Craiova in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sp.Studentesc will play at home against Satu Mare and hopes to get back on the winning track.

It was a great shooting night for ICIM Arad especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Rather expected game when 13th ranked Cluj Napoca (3-13) was smashed on the road by tenth ranked Brasov (8-10) 87-64. The game without a history. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Cluj Napoca's 34 and made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Cluj Napoca 36-24 including 22 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American guard Brandie Hoskins (175-85) who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. point guard Gabriela Cursaru (169-92) helped adding 17 points and 7 assists. Four Brasov players scored in double figures. Coach Daniel Calancea's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. It was a great evening for Serbian guard Biljana Pesovic (180-83) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Power forward Adina Stoiedin (186-91) helped adding 14 points and 13 rebounds. Four Timisoara players scored in double figures. Timisoara's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side the former international guard Florina Diaconu (170-82) responded with 21 points and 5 steals and swingman Claudia Ene (178-88) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Timisoara. They moved-up to sixth place. Rapid at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Timisoara will play against higher ranked Sf.Gheorghe (#5) in Sfantu Gheorghe in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rapid will have a break next round.
