The game between third ranked Ploiesti (13-6) and ninth ranked Rovinari (10-9) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Ploiesti was edged by Rovinari in a tough game in Rovinari 93-95. They made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Rovinari looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rovinari made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Liberian guard Jaytonah Wisseh (185-88, college: LIU Brooklyn) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists. Czech power forward David Steffel (212-85) contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Latvian forward Ivars Timermanis (203-82) answered with 23 points and 7 rebounds for Ploiesti. Rovinari maintains ninth place with 10-9 record. Defending champion Ploiesti dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Timisoara and U.Mobitel.CN.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Timisoara (13-6) against seventh ranked U-Mobitelco (13-6) on Friday night. Visiting Timisoara was defeated by U-Mobitelco in Cluj 95-84. It was a great evening for American guard Derek Wright (180-86, college: Austin Peay St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Sean Barnette helped adding 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Bosnian point guard Zlatko Jovanovic (181-84, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 20 points and 5 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!). U-Mobitelco have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Timisoara and Ploiesti.
A very close game took place in Constanca between Farul Const. and Giurgiu. Fifteenth ranked Farul Const. (3-16) got a very close home victory over 12th ranked Giurgiu (6-13). Farul Const. managed to escape with a 2-point win 78-76 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Nenad Markovic who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Perry Petty came up with 13 points and 9 assists for Giurgiu in the defeat. Newly promoted Farul Const. maintains fifteenth place with 3-16 record. Giurgiu at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost.
The game between second ranked Targu Mures (14-5) and 13th ranked Timba Timosoara (5-14) in Mures ended with biggest points difference. Targu Mures outscored guests from Timisoara 98-71. Targu Mures maintains second place with 14-5 record having just two points less than leader Oradea. Newly promoted Timba Timosoara keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost.

In the last game of round 19 Gaz Metan beat CSM Bucuresti on the road 85-67.

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked Gaz Metan (11-8) beat on the road 7th ranked CSM Bucuresti (12-7) 85-67. The game without a history. Gaz Metan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to CSM Bucuresti's 26. They outrebounded CSM Bucuresti 41-20 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gaz Metan players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Montenegrin-Serbian forward Ivan Ivanovic (205-80, agency: Beo Basket) fired 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Kyle Shiloh (191-85, college: Nevada) chipped in 7 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Gaz Metan players scored in double figures. Gaz Metan's coach Marcel Tenter allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Brian Morris (205-87, college: Humboldt St.) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian guard Ivan Bosnjak (198-82, agency: BeoExcell) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Gaz Metan maintains eighth place with 11-8 record. CSM Bucuresti at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost.

Farul Const. managed to escape with a 2-point win 78-76 on Saturday evening. Giurgiu was trailing by 10 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 23-20 charge of Farul Const., which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian forward Nenad Markovic (199-80) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Serbian guard Nenad Tomasevic (192-84) accounted for 13 points and 6 assists for the winning side. American guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTPA) came up with 13 points and 9 assists and the other American import forward Marcus Melvin (203-82, college: N.Carolina St.) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for Giurgiu in the defeat.
