The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and even winless team recording their first victory.

Top ranked Oradea (18-3) recorded its third loss at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Ploiesti (14-7) 91-77. The game was mostly controlled by Ploiesti. Oradea managed to win third quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Ploiesti outrebounded Oradea 39-22 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international center Catalin Burlacu (210-77, agency: Court Side) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds. Serbian guard Aleksandar Vlahovic (190-90) chipped in 28 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Australian-Trinidad and Tobago swingman Daniel Dillon (194-86, college: Arizona) who recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Oradea at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Ploiesti is looking forward to face Pitesti (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Oradea will play against Gaz Metan (#8) in Medias and is hoping to win this game.
Another exciting game was played in Cluj between eighth ranked Gaz Metan and 4th placed U-Mobitelco where Gaz Metan (13-8) rolled over U-Mobitelco (14-7) on the road with 25-point difference 84-59. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of U-Mobitelco. It was a good game for American point guard Kyle Shiloh (191-85, college: Nevada) who led his team to a victory with 17 points. Ivan Ivanovic contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Gaz Metan's coach Marcel Tenter felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Sean Barnette (198-86, college: Wingate) answered with 9 points and 16 rebounds for U-Mobitelco. Gaz Metan have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 13-8 record. U-Mobitelco at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Gaz Metan will play against league's leader Oradea at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. U-Mobitelco will play against Timba Timosoara in Timisoara and hopes to get back on the winning track.
CS Dinamo Bucuresti can celebrate finally their first win this season after 20 consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Miercurea Ciuc (3-18) 96-85 on Sunday. Brian Fisher stepped up and scored 31 points and 6 steals for the winners. CS Dinamo Bucuresti's coach Nicolae Toader used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Franko Filipovic with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. CS Dinamo Bucuresti maintains sixteenth place with 1-20 record. It was Miercurea Ciuc's seventh loss in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. They share it with Farul Const.. CS Dinamo Bucuresti will meet higher ranked Timisoara (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Miercurea Ciuc will play against CSU Sibiu (#10) and hope to secure a win.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Pitesti, where higher ranked Timisoara (14-7) lost to eleventh ranked Pitesti (10-11) in a road game 65-76. Pankracije Barac nailed 20 points for the winning side. Pitesti moved-up to tenth place, which they share with CSU Sibiu. Timisoara at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Pitesti's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ploiesti (#7) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Timisoara will play against CS Dinamo Bucuresti.

Coach Srecko Sekulovic's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players saving starting five for next games. Targu Mures maintains third place with 15-6 record having just three points less than leader Oradea. Newly promoted Farul Const. dropped to the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Targu Mures will face league's second-placed Craiova on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Farul Const. will play against CSM Bucuresti (#5).

Other games of round 21 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Giurgiu was crushed by CSM Bucuresti in a road game 94-74. Rovinari smashed Timba Timis. at home 102-78. Craiova destroyed CSU Sibiu on the opponent's court 90-68. Craiova managed to outperform Farul Const. in a home game 85-77.
The best stats of 21th round was 21 points, 10 assists and 4 steals by Rade Dzambic of Craiova.


Dinamo B. - Miercurea Ciuc 96-85

The game with biggest result difference took place in Mures. Local Targu Mures (15-6) outscored 15th ranked Farul Const. (3-18) 83-55 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Targu Mures led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. There was no surprise when 12th ranked Giurgiu (7-14) was crushed on the road by seventh ranked CSM Bucuresti (14-7) 94-74 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was Canadian guard Stephen Sir (195-82, college: N.Arizona) who scored 23 points (perfect behind the arc making all seven shots !!!). Canadian-Jamaican forward Jevohn Shepherd (196-86, college: Michigan) chipped in 24 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTPA) who recorded 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Brian Burrell (192-84, college: UTPA, agency: TSS Management) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively. We should mention about the upset which took place in Pitesti, where higher ranked Timisoara (14-7) lost to eleventh ranked Pitesti (10-11) in a road game 65-76. The game without a history. Pitesti led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Croatian guard Pankracije Barac (196-81, agency: Court Side) nailed 20 points for the winning side and American-New Zealand forward Marcel Jones (203-85, college: Oregon St.) accounted for 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American forward Dominique Archie (200-87, college: S.Carolina) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Bogdan Popescu (200-78, college: Alaska-Fairb.) added 7 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Timisoara in the defeat. Pitesti moved-up to tenth place, which they share with CSU Sibiu. Timisoara at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Pitesti's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ploiesti (#7) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Timisoara will play against CS Dinamo Bucuresti.

Oradea - Ploiesti 77-91

Top ranked Oradea (18-3) recorded its third loss at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Ploiesti (14-7) 91-77. The game was mostly controlled by Ploiesti. Oradea managed to win third quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Ploiesti outrebounded Oradea 39-22 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international center Catalin Burlacu (210-77, agency: Court Side) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds. Serbian guard Aleksandar Vlahovic (190-90) chipped in 28 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Australian-Trinidad and Tobago swingman Daniel Dillon (194-86, college: Arizona) who recorded 15 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard William Franklin (183-85, college: Bradley) added 13 points respectively. Four Ploiesti and five Oradea players scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Oradea at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Ploiesti is looking forward to face Pitesti (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Oradea will play against Gaz Metan (#8) in Medias and is hoping to win this game.

Very predictable result when second ranked Craiova (16-5) beat at home 15th ranked Farul Const. (3-18) 85-77 on Saturday. Craiova forced 20 Farul Const. turnovers. Farul Const. was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was the former international center Ionut Dragusin (221-85) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds. Serbian guard Rade Dzambic (188-80, college: NYIT, agency: TSS Management) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists. Craiova's coach Andelko Mandic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Tyrone Mitchell (185-81, college: Northwestern St., agency: SDJ Sports) who recorded 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Serbian forward Nenad Markovic (199-80) added 20 points and 6 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) respectively. Five Craiova and four Farul Const. players scored in double figures. Craiova have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 16-5 record having just two points less than leader Oradea. Newly promoted Farul Const. dropped to the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Craiova will face Targu Mures (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Farul Const. will play against CSM Bucuresti (#5).
