The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Oradea (18-4) in Medias on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Gaz Metan (14-8) 71-64. Gaz Metan forced 25 Oradea turnovers and outrebounded them 42-31 including a 13-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin-Serbian forward Ivan Ivanovic (205-80, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds. Bulgarian Ivan Lilov (196-88) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Gaz Metan's coach Marcel Tenter used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard William Franklin (183-85, college: Bradley) replied with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for Oradea. Gaz Metan have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 14-8 record. Oradea lost third consecutive game. They still keep top place with four games lost. Gaz Metan are looking forward to face Pitesti (#11) on the road in the next round. Oradea will play against Timba Timosoara (#13) in Timisoara and is hoping to win this game.
An interesting game for Craiova (17-5) which hosted in Craiova one of their biggest challengers Targu Mures (15-7). Second ranked Craiova managed to get a 6-point victory 88-82. The former international center Ionut Dragusin (221-85) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Rade Dzambic chipped in 17 points and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side Montenegrin guard Branko Cuic (197-78) responded with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Craiova have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-5 record behind leader Oradea. Targu Mures at the other side keep the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Craiova will play against Miercurea Ciuc (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Fifteenth-ranked Farul Const. (3-19) used its home court advantage to challenge sixth ranked CSM Bucuresti (15-7) in Constanca on Saturday. The visitors from Bucuresti managed to secure only three-point victory 74-71. However their fans expected much easier game. Brian Morris notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by Nenad Tomasevic did not help to save the game for Farul Const.. CSM Bucuresti have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Farul Const. lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Miercurea Ciuc. CSM Bucuresti will meet at home Targu Mures (#5) in the next round. No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Ploiesti (15-7) beat at home 11th ranked Pitesti (10-12) 71-67 on Sunday.
