The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Concordia as it allowed them to take a leadership position in I. Concordia smashed 3rd placed Phoenix Corona Brasov in Chiajna 97-56. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Vabova and Steaua. Phoenix Corona Brasov at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Ploiesti II. Phoenix Corona Brasov will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Concordia will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Politehnica in Iasi.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Bucuresti. Leader host Steaua (2-0) smashed 4th placed Ploiesti II (1-2) 91-69. Steaua maintains first place in I with 2-0 record, which they share with Vabova. Ploiesti II at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Steaua will play against league's second-placed Vabova in Sfantu Gheorghe in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ploiesti II will have a break next round.

Vabova will meet at home league's leader Steaua in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Brasov will play against CSU Galati (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Politehnica managed to secure a 6-point victory 86-80. Politehnica left bottom position moving up to third place in I, which they share with CSU Galati. Politehnica's next round opponent will be league's leader Concordia in Chiajna and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rapid Bucuresti will play on the road against the league's second-placed Stiinta B. (#2) in Bucaresti and looks forward to get finally their first victory.

South edged North 119-109 in All Star Game 2017. Jamar Abrams top-scored for the winners with 35 points to be named MVP of the game. Vincent Hunter (209-C/F-84, college: Arkansas) notched 29 and Catalin Baciu(214-C-88, college: Clemson) posted 22. CS Politehnica Unirea Iasi (Liga I) landed 26-year old forward Adrian Rosu (198-91). He started the season at CS Dinamo Bucuresti (Liga Nationala). In four games he averaged 4.0ppg this season. Liga I will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. The last season Rosu played at Steaua CSM EximBank Bucuresti (also in Liga Nationala).
