The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute susprises and upsets. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with extra overtimes and games ending by tiny margin.
Liga Nationala top team - CSM Targoviste (21-1) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Cluj Napoca (4-17) 95-39. The game without a history. CSM Targoviste led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Cluj Napoca to just 5 points in third quarter and to 11 points in second half. CSM Targoviste held Cluj Napoca to an opponent 24.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 60.0 percent accuracy of the winners. CSM Targoviste forced 26 Cluj Napoca turnovers and outrebounded them 42-23 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. CSM Targoviste looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Cluj Napoca's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Andreea Hutanu (185-88) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds. The season 2012 she started at CSM Targoviste in Romanian Liga Nationala. In 36 games she recorded 14.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg this season. Marginean also played 10 games in Eurocup where she averaged remarkable 16.9ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.0spg. The previous (10-11) season she played at Panathinaikos (A1) in Greek league. In 26 games she was second best scorer with great 17.0ppg and had 7.3rpg, 1.5apg and 2.2spg that season. She contributed to her team making it to the semifinals. Great season indeed as she was selected Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Bosman Player of the Year and voted to 1st Team and voted to All-Bosmans Team. Marginean attended Drexel University until 2010 and it will be her third season in pro basketball. She was voted CAA Player of the Year back in 2009 at her college time.
