The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Vabova (2-1) in Sfantu Gheorghe on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Steaua (3-0) 94-57. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Vabova. It was a key game for the top position in I as both teams had the same 2-0 record before this meeting. Steaua have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in I with 3-0 record. Newly promoted Vabova keeps the second place with one game lost. They share the position with CSU Galati. Steaua are looking forward to face CSU Galati (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Vabova will play against Ploiesti II in Pitesti and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Concordia (3-0) which played road game in Iasi against 3rd ranked Politehnica (1-2). Top-ranked Concordia managed to get a 6-point victory 78-72. Concordia maintains first position in I with 3-0 record, which they share with Steaua. Politehnica at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Ploiesti II. Concordia will play against league's second-placed Stiinta B. in Bucaresti in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Politehnica will play on the road against Phoenix Corona Brasov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
