The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 4 rounds. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Oradea (21-5) on the court of third ranked Targu Mures on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Targu Mures 81-48. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Oradea. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Targu Mures dominated on the defensive end, holding Oradea to just 7 points in second quarter. Lithuanian guard Gediminas Navickas (180-84) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and Montenegrin guard Branko Cuic (197-78) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Serbian guard Nemanja Maric (196-83) responded with 12 points and 4 assists. Oradea's coach Christian Achim gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Targu Mures have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Ploiesti and Craiova. Oradea at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. Targu Mures is looking forward to face Pitesti (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Oradea will play against CSM Bucuresti (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Craiova. Eleventh ranked Rovinari (13-13) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging second-ranked Craiova (19-7) 84-83 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. American-Liberian guard Jaytornah Wisseh (185-88, college: LIU Brooklyn) notched 29 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and Louis Darby supported him with 26 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). Even 21 points and 7 assists by Serbian guard Rade Dzambic (188-80, college: NYIT, agency: TSS Management) did not help to save the game for Craiova. Rovinari moved-up to ninth place. Craiova at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Targu Mures and Ploiesti. Rovinari will play against higher ranked U-Mobitelco (#6) in Cluj in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
