The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 4 rounds. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Oradea (21-5) on the court of third ranked Targu Mures on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Targu Mures 81-48. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Oradea. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Targu Mures dominated on the defensive end, holding Oradea to just 7 points in second quarter. Lithuanian guard Gediminas Navickas (180-84) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and Montenegrin guard Branko Cuic (197-78) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest.
