The Regular Season in Division A is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Ploiesti. Third ranked Ploiesti faced 4th placed Craiova. Host Ploiesti (20-7) defeated guests from Craiova (19-8) 83-66. The game without a history. Ploiesti led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was the former international center Catalin Burlacu (210-77, agency: Court Side) who scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American forward Robert Nyakundi (203-89, college: SMU) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Travis Bureau (200-88, college: La-Lafayette, agency: SDJ Sports) who recorded 24 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ploiesti have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Targu Mures. Craiova lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Ploiesti is looking forward to face Gaz Metan (#5) in Medias in the next round. Craiova will play at home against U-Mobitelco in Cluj and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
Leader Oradea delivered the twentieth second victory. This time they beat 8th ranked CSM Bucuresti (16-11) 95-77. It was a good game for Australian-Trinidad and Tobago swingman Daniel Dillon (194-86, college: Arizona) who led his team to a victory with 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field).
