U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca (Liga Nationala) inked 24-year old Lithuanian international point guard Vaidas Kariniauskas (197-90kg-93). He played recently at AV Cantu in Italian Serie A, but left the team earlier this month. But in 14 games he averaged just 1.7ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.6apg this season. The last season Kariniauskas played at GS Kymis in Greek A2 where in 28 games he had 9.5ppg, 3.9rpg, 4.3apg and 1.1spg. He helped them to win the league title (twice). A very good season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Greek A2 2nd Team and All-Bosmans Team.
Kariniauskas has been also a member of Lithuanian international program for some years. He has regularly played for Lithuanian senior team since 2014 and two years ago for U22 National Team.
Kariniauskas represented Lithuania at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) last year. His stats at that event were 4 games: 1.5ppg, 1.0apg.
Kariniauskas has played also professionally for other Lithuanian teams like Zalgiris, LSU-Atletas, Lietkabelis and Zalgiris II Kaunas.

32-year old point guard Igor Mijajlovic (192-PG-84) had an amazing evening in the last round for CSU Sibiu and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6 (Second Stage). He had the game-high 28 points adding eight assists for CSU Sibiu in his team's victory, helping them to beat BC Timisoara (#5, 12-12) 90-85. An interesting game for UBT Cluj Napoca (21-3) which hosted in Cluj Napoca 4th ranked Oradea (13-11). First ranked UBT Cluj Napoca managed to get a 14-point victory 89-75.
