Jamar Abrams
The Regular Season in Liga Nationala just ended. Host teams show no mercy winning all games.

The most exciting game of round 22 in the Liga Nationala took place in Craiova. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Steaua CSM (14-6) to tenth ranked Craiova (6-14) 81-79 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Steaua CSM. Steaua CSM was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Craiova dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Steaua CSM's 26. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Jamar Abrams (201-89, college: E.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds. The other American import guard Darius Hargrove (195-82, college: Virginia Union) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Craiova's coach Vladimir Vuksanovic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Lithuanian guard Marius Runkauskas (189-86, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 20 points for Steaua CSM. Craiova moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Dinamo B. Steaua CSM at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. They share it with CSU Sibiu.
Another interesting game for Targu Mures (10-10) which hosted 4th ranked Pitesti (11-9). Seventh ranked Targu Mures had an easy win 93-77. Serbian power forward Dalibor Djapa (205-84, agency: 011 Sports) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Goran Martinic chipped in 16 points and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Vincent Hunter (209-84, college: Arkansas) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Targu Mures maintains seventh position with 10-10 record. Pitesti at the other side dropped to the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Oradea.
Liga Nationala top team - UBT Cluj Napoca (18-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat tenth ranked CS Dinamo Bucuresti (6-14) 96-79. Roland Torok notched 25 points (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the effort. Even 14 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals by Slobodan Dundjerski did not help to save the game for CS Dinamo Bucuresti. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. UBT Cluj Napoca have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-2 record. Loser CS Dinamo Bucuresti dropped to the ninth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Craiova.
