Lamarcus Reed (196-G/F-88, college: Texas Arlington) current player of BC Mures Targu-Mures (Romania-Liga Nationala) in an old interview:

Why you decided to be a pro player.

Ever since I started playing organized sports, I've always wanted to be a professional athlete. I wanted to be like the guys I saw on TV excelling in their sport. I wanted to hit homeruns like Ken Griffey Jr., catch American footballs like Jerry Rice and of course fly like Mike. Unfortunately, I couldn't do them all but after having a solid college career and a great senior year season I was blessed with the opportunity to play professionally in Europe.

There are many players without a job fighting for the same spots, how hard is to wait for your ideal offer and not take the first that comes up considering that the next one may not come soon.

I've had to deal with this headache for the last two seasons, so I know from experience that its not fun having to wait for offers. Especially when, all the guys that you work out with in the summer are signing deals and flying back across the Atlantic. But you have to be faithful and optimistic in these situations because blessings come in all forms, shapes and sizes. Yours may come in the form of a contract you're forced to take because you'll end up on a team you'll never forget.

Which was the best game you had in your career so far?

I would have to say the first game we played against PAOK this year. I played really on both ends of the court and I helped our team when a huge game at home.

Tell us your strong point and your weakness in your game.

Stong point: I'm gifted guy athletically and I'm able to knockdown the trey ball and attack guys off the dribble.

Weakness: I'll put in a lot time this summer working on making the right reads off the pick and roll.

Which player was the hardest opponent to play against?

There are tons of great players in Europe, and I'm at the tail end of my 3rd season so clearly I haven't had the opportunity to play against a lot of the top guys but I have ran across a few guys who were very difficult to guard. Vassilis Spanoulis is a very difficult guy to guard one on one, Matt Lojeski when he played in the Belgian league was extremely difficult to guard, and Marquez Haynes gives me problems every day in the summer.

Tell about the best teammates you had so far.
