The game between Top Four teams took place in Cluj Napoca. First ranked host UBT Cluj Napoca (19-3) defeated their biggest opponent CSU Sibiu (14-8) 92-75. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-75. UBT Cluj Napoca made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian-Bosnian point guard Filip Adamovic (183-88, agency: 011 Sports) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 assists and 4 steals and American Kyndall Dykes (192-87, college: New Orleans) who added 23 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Kevin Hardy (188-93, college: McNeese St.) responded with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UBT Cluj Napoca maintains first position with 19-3 record. CSU Sibiu at the other side keeps the second place with eight games lost. They share the position with Steaua CSM. UBT Cluj Napoca are looking forward to face league's second-placed Steaua CSM in Bucuresti in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. CSU Sibiu will play on the road against Oradea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Pitesti was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Oradea (12-10) played at the court of 6th ranked Pitesti (10-12). Oradea defeated Pitesti 86-76. The winners were led by Canadian center Sean Denison (210-85, college: Santa Clara, agency: 011 Sports) who scored that evening 19 points and 4 assists and Titus Nicoara supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Even 18 points and 6 rebounds by Bulgarian Pavel Marinov (199-88, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Pitesti. Oradea have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 12-10 record. Pitesti lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 12 games lost. Oradea will play against higher ranked CSU Sibiu (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Pitesti will play against BC Timisoara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Third ranked Steaua CSM (14-8) crushed at home 5th ranked BC Timisoara (11-11) by 28 points 95-67, which is the biggest margin this round on Wednesday night. The game was mostly controlled by Steaua CSM. BC Timisoara managed to win fourth quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Steaua CSM shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American power forward Randal Falker (201-85, college: S.Illinois) fired 12 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Lithuanian guard Marius Runkauskas (189-86, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 17 points and 8 assists. Five Steaua CSM players scored in double figures. International point guard Octavian Calota (189-84) produced 15 points and Montenegrin power forward Milos Komatina (206-84) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Defending champion U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca (Liga Nationala) landed 29-year old Croatian international forward Zeljko Sakic (204-98kg-88, agency: BeoBasket). He played most recently at Cibona in Croatian A1 league. Sakic managed to play in four leagues last year (!!!).
