Monique
Coker
34-year old forward Monique Coker (185-F-82) had a great game in the last round for Targoviste and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9 (Second Stage).
She had a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds, while her team lost the game against Brasov (#4, 15-12) 74-80. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Targoviste maintains the 3rd position in Romanian Liga Nationala. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Targoviste will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 18-9 record. In the team's last game Coker had a remarkable 52.6% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Targoviste, through which she has constantly improved. Old Dominion University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Coker is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 10.4rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Megan Mullings (186-F) of Alexandria. She is American forward in her first season at Alexandria. In the last game Mullings recorded impressive 27 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she led Alexandria to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Sirius TgM (#9, 4-19) 89-69. Alexandria's 8th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-12 record. Mullings is a newcomer at Alexandria and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Jefimija Karakasevic (191-C/F-89) of ICIM Arad (#7). Karakasevic scored 14 points and grabbed nineteen rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of ICIM Arad, leading her team to a 78-41 easy win against the lower-ranked Iasi (#10, 1-22). ICIM Arad needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 11 lost games. Karakasevic has a very solid season. In 19 games in Romania she scored 8.6ppg. She also has 7.6rpg and FGP: 54.7%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Carla Bartee (182-F/C-85) of Alexandria - 21 points and 8 rebounds
5. Morgan Stroman (185-PF-91) of ICIM Arad - 19 points and 10 rebounds
6. Angel Robinson (170-G-89) of Sirius TgM - 23 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists
7. Biljana Pesovic (180-SG-83) of Brasov - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Michaela Houser (170-PG-91) of Brasov - 23 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Ildiko Nagy (187-F/C-84) of ICIM Arad - 16 points and 11 rebounds
10. Chastity Reed (185-F-89) of Satu Mare - 13 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
