An interesting game for UBT Cluj Napoca (21-3) which hosted in Cluj Napoca 4th ranked Oradea (13-11). First ranked UBT Cluj Napoca managed to get a 14-point victory 89-75. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Oradea. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 47-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. UBT Cluj Napoca shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. It was a good game for American Kyndall Dykes (192-87, college: New Orleans) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 5 assists. Lithuanian point guard Vaidas Kariniauskas (197-93) contributed with 15 points and 8 assists for the winners. American forward Sean Barnette (197-86, college: Wingate) replied with 19 points and 6 rebounds for Oradea. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UBT Cluj Napoca have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-3 record. Defending champion Oradea keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. UBT Cluj Napoca are looking forward to face Pitesti (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Oradea will play against BC Timisoara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The best for the losing side was Cuban-American center Adrian Diaz (213-93, college: FIU) with 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). CSU Sibiu moved-up to second place, which they share with Steaua CSM. BC Timisoara at the other side keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. CSU Sibiu will play against league's second-placed Steaua CSM in Bucuresti in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BC Timisoara will play on the road against Oradea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The game in Timisoara was also worth to mention about. Third ranked CSU Sibiu (15-9) played at the court of 5th ranked BC Timisoara (12-12). CSU Sibiu managed to secure a 5-point victory 90-85. BC Timisoara was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 28-18 third quarter run of CSU Sibiu. They made 24-of-31 charity shots (77.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 BC Timisoara turnovers. Strangely BC Timisoara outrebounded CSU Sibiu 34-20 including 21 on the defensive glass. Serbian point guard Igor Mijajlovic (192-84) scored 28 points and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Kevin Hardy (188-93, college: McNeese St.) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 9 steals during the contest. The game between second ranked Steaua CSM (15-9) and 6th ranked Pitesti (10-14) in Bucuresti on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Steaua CSM beat guests from Pitesti 89-74. The game was mostly controlled by Steaua CSM. Pitesti managed to win second period 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Steaua CSM dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Pitesti's 28. They outrebounded Pitesti 44-19 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Randal Falker (201-85, college: S.Illinois) notched a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and Lithuanian guard Marius Runkauskas (189-86, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 19 points and 5 assists.
