The Second Stage in Liga Nationala just ended.

The most exciting game of round 10 in the Liga Nationala took place in Sibiu. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th ranked Oradea (15-13) to third ranked CSU Sibiu (18-10) 69-66 on Wednesday evening. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 28-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. CSU Sibiu forced 21 Oradea turnovers and outrebounded them 48-34 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Kevin Hardy (188-93, college: McNeese St.) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Chris Cooper (205-90, college: ODU) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side forward Sean Barnette (197-86, college: Wingate) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds. CSU Sibiu moved-up to second place in Nationala. Defending champion Oradea keeps the fourth position with 13 games lost.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Cluj Napoca. First ranked host UBT Cluj Napoca (24-4) defeated their biggest opponent Steaua CSM (17-11) 90-84. American Kyndall Dykes (192-87, college: New Orleans) notched 19 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Vlad Moldoveanu supported him with 18 points. Even a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds by American power forward Dave Dudzinski (206-92, college: Holy Cross, agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for Steaua CSM. UBT Cluj Napoca maintains first position in Nationala with 24-4 record. Steaua CSM at the other side dropped to the third place with 11 games lost.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Craiova. Third ranked host Craiova (8-16) defeated their biggest opponent Phoenix Galati (8-16) 85-73. It was a key game for the second position in Nationala. Travis Bureau fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Milos Bojovic produced 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Craiova moved-up to second place in Nationala.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Bucuresti. 4th ranked host CS Dinamo Bucuresti (6-18) was smashed by first ranked Targu Mures (12-12) 74-49. Worth to mention a great performance of Goran Martinic who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Targu Mures' coach Barnabas Szaszgaspar felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Targu Mures maintains first position in Nationala with 12-12 record. CS Dinamo Bucuresti at the other side keeps the fourth place with 18 games lost.
The game in Pitesti was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked BC Timisoara (13-15) played at the court of 6th ranked Pitesti (11-17). BC Timisoara managed to secure a 7-point victory 97-90 on Wednesday. Mladen Jeremic scored 22 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Pitesti's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. BC Timisoara maintains fifth position in Nationala with 13-15 record. Loser Pitesti keeps the sixth place with 17 games lost.

The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. American Kyndall Dykes (192-87, college: New Orleans) notched 19 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international Vlad Moldoveanu (206-88, college: American) supported him with 18 points. Dykes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds by American power forward Dave Dudzinski (206-92, college: Holy Cross, agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for Steaua CSM. His fellow American import guard Morris Curry (181-87, college: Providence, agency: Inception Sports) added 22 points for lost side. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 97-90. BC Timisoara shot 68.5 percent from the field. They also forced 20 Pitesti turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Serbian guard Mladen Jeremic (198-88, agency: 011 Sports) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Jonte Flowers (196-85, college: Winona St.) chipped in 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest.
