CSU Sibiu snatched a tough road win over Targu Mures to take 2-1 lead. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-87. 32 personal fouls committed by Targu Mures helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Kevin Hardy (188-93, college: McNeese St.) who scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international forward Bogdan Popescu (200-78, college: Alaska-Fairb.) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Lamarcus Reed (196-88, college: Texas Arlington) who recorded 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Montenegrin point guard Goran Martinic (187-87) added 19 points and 6 assists respectively. Four CSU Sibiu and five Targu Mures players scored in double figures.

BC Timisoara - Oradea 84-86

Oradea nipped BC Timisoara away from home to complete the sweep. The guests were ahead by 4 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 25-20 run, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Oradea especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. BC Timisoara was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Sean Barnette (197-86, college: Wingate) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Martin Zeno (196-85, college: Texas Tech) contributed with 20 points and 5 assists for the winners. Cuban-American center Adrian Diaz (213-93, college: FIU) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and international point guard Octavian Calota (189-84) added 22 points in the effort for BC Timisoara. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Steaua CSM outgunned Pitesti for the third straight victory. Pitesti was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 45-26 second half run of Steaua CSM. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Pitesti's 28. They outrebounded Pitesti 36-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Morris Curry (181-87, college: Providence, agency: Inception Sports) who led the winners and scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Lithuanian guard Marius Runkauskas (189-86, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 21 points for the winning side. Four Steaua CSM players scored in double figures. Bulgarian Pavel Marinov (199-88, agency: Interperformances) came up with 19 points and 6 assists and American power forward Vincent Hunter (209-84, college: Arkansas) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Pitesti in the defeat. UBT Cluj Napoca topped Craiova to advance into the semifinal stage. The game without a history. UBT Cluj Napoca led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Craiova's players. It was a great evening for Senegalese power forward Ousmane Barro (207-84, college: Marquette) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Ukrainian Maksym Pustozvonov (200-87) helped adding 21 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Five UBT Cluj Napoca players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Jamar Abrams (201-89, college: E.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) with 21 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Tayloe Taylor (191-86, college: Livingstone) scored 16 points and 8 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
