Planeta-Universitet Ukhta won Russian Higher League - May 13, 2012

Planeta-Universitet Ukhta won Russian Higher League. The team finished the Regular Season with 11-17 record, but managed to surprise the teams in the Play-offs.
In the Semifinal they edged Novosybirsk 75:73 to enter the Final game. In the Final game Planeta-Universitet Ukhta overcame AltayBasket Barnaul 70:68. The latter won the opening period 21-20 and then added 17-11 in the second frame. The second half however belonged to the team from Ukhta. The latter celebrated a 23-15 surge in the third quarter and added 16-15 for the final success. Aleksandr Amelin (184-G-88) top-scored for the winners with 17 points, while Anton Dudukin (209-F/C-86) nailed 15. SUKHININ Igor posted 12 and Sergei Dubinin (206-C-85) had 9. Aleksandr Diatchkov (191-G-81) ended up with 16 points in the losing effort. Vladimir Pronin (204-F-75) delivered 13, whilst Vasili Gladyshev (188-G-83) added 12.
