Krasnie Krilya won Russian 2011/2012 Cup as they left no chances to Spartak-Primorje in the Final game. Samara saw a 84:62 comfortable win of the hosts to celebrate with them last night.
Krasnie Krilya easily took control of the game and reached 24-12 in the end of the period. They added 22-19 in the second frame and enjoyed 15-point lead at the halftime. Moreover the hosts won the third quarter 25-13 and did not mind 13-18 in the last stanza.
Brion Rush (186-G-84, agency: Beo Basket, college: Grambling St.) top-scored for the winners with 17 points and Aaron Miles (186-G-83, college: Kansas) netted 14. Dragan Labovic (207-C/F-87, agency: Alti Sport) poured in 13, while ALIEVAS Rolandas and Nikita Balashov (206-F-91) added 10 apiece. Cuthbert Victor (197-F-83, college: Murray St.) ended up with 16 points in defeat and Torey Thomas (180-PG-85, agency: Interperformances, college: Holy Cross) scored 15. GOLYAKHOV Aleksey delivered 8 and Ivan Pavlov (200-C-89) nailed 7.
In the game for the third place Spartak St Petersburg overcame Ural 68:67.
Brion Rush was named MVP of the Final Four. Torey Thomas became the best Point Guard and Valery Likhodey (205-F-86) was awarded Small Forward nomination. Nikita Balashov became the best Power Forward, while Lorenzo Gordon (201-F-83, agency: Hart Sports Mngm, college: Oklahoma City) the best Center.
