Spartak-Primorie win SuperLeague title - May 30, 2011

Spartak-Primorie win SuperLeague title as they swept the series over Universitet Surgut 2-0. The latter was handed a pity 67-82 home loss and lost the Final Play-offs in Surgut.
Spartak-Primorie won the home game earlier and traveled to Surgut in order to win at least once in two days. The second team in the Regular Season decided not to wait for a decider and solved the series in the second game. They took 22-18 after the first 10 minutes and produced 20-10 in the second frame. Moreover the guests won the third period 28-20 and then did not mind 12-19 in the last stanza. Dmitriy Zagnoyko (192-G-85) stepped up with 16 points for the winners and Evgeni Baburin (193-G-87) netted 14. Viktor Uskov (182-G-86) delivered 11, whilst Sergey Chernov (189-G-86) netted 9 points. Nikola Lepojevic (199-F-82, agency: BeoExcell) answered with 15 points in the losing effort.
In the series for the third place Saransk needed overtime to beat Ural 99:91. Trailing 3 points before the fourth period the hosts tied the game before the end of the fourth period and then won the game due to 20-12 in extra time. Kuznetsov Alexei top-scored for the winners with 21 points, while Aleksei Vzdykhalkin (190-G-85) posted 18. Marque Perry (185-G-81, agency: N.E.T., college: St.Louis) replied with 24 points in the losing effort. The series is tied at 1-1, while the decisive game will be played tomorrow.
