CSKA triumphed at the Gomelsky Cup in Moscow. The hosts overcame Fenerbahce in the title game tonight. Nenad Krstic (214-C-83, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) stepped up with 14 points to pace the winners.
CSKA quickly jumped in front and piled up an 18:14 lead ten minutes into the game. They stretched the gap in the second term. The Russian powerhouse built a 40:29 halftime lead. Fenerbahce could not change the complexion on the encounter in the second half. CSKA stayed in control stretching the lead to as many as 16 points with ten minutes to go. The teams exchanged baskets throughout the fourth frame as CSKA kept the Turkish side at bay coasting to the victory. Darjus Lavrinovic (212-C-79) posted 11 points, while Andrey Vorontsevich (204-C-87) added 7 points in the winning case. James Gist (203-F-86) responded with 10 points for Fenerbahce. Oguz Savas (208-C-87) and Bojan Bogdanovic (202-G/F-89) delivered 8 points apiece in the loss.

Eskisehir Basket and Besiktas overcame Russian teams in Antalya. Eskisehir Basket overcame Lokomotiv-Kuban 72-71 due to a massive second half. They trailed 17 points at the halftime, but managed to seal a narrow win.
