Dynamo Kursk - MBK Ruzomberok 74-69

Dynamo Kursk advanced to EuroCup Semifinals. They managed to beat MBK Ruzomberok last night 74-69 winning the two-game duel with 155-149. Dynamo will meet Chevakata at the next stage and it will be Russian two-game derby. Games are scheduled for February 23 and 29, and Chevakata will be the host in the first meeting. MBK Ruzomberok is out of the competition. Michelle Snow (196-C-80, agency: LBM Management, college: Tennessee) had amazing night for the winners. She collected 23 points and 8 rebounds, at the same time reaching valuation 37! Temeka Johnson (160-PG-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas, college: LSU) had 17 points and 7 rebounds, while Anna Petrakova (189-PF-84) added 15 pts and 6 rebs. Ausra Bimbaite (178-SG-82) also secured a nice help with 14 pts, 7 rebs and 5 assists. In the loosing squad, Kadidja Andersson (185-F-80, college: Minnesota) top-scored with 17 points. Slavka Frniakova-Bucakova (167-PG-79) (6 rebs) and Carmen Guzman (172-SG-85, agency: Merit Sports, college: UAB) had 15 and 14 pts respectively. Quarters: 21-17, 17-18, 12-12, 24-22.

UMMC secured the services of Ann Wauters (194-C-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) for the next season. It is actually her comeback to Ekaterinburg as she played here before. Ann Wauters was the member of the UMMC roster back in 2009-11 seasons. Last season the Belgian centre spent in Turkey. She played for Galatasaray. Sky's Prince will be off to Russia - May 19, 2013

Guard Epiphanny Prince (5'9''-G-88, college: Rutgers) will be fulfilling a contractual obligation for Russia with a new multi-year contract from the Chicago Sky. It's not as confusing as it sounds. Spartak Vidnoe MR have quickly found the new head coach for the team. Alexandr Vasin will take over the Russian powerhouse after Pokey Chatman had decided to step down from the bridge.
