Aleksandr Zuev (189-SG-96) and Maxim Morozov (202-PF-96) accounted for 13 points each to lead the winners. England fell at 0-2 record after the loss. Russia surged ahead early in the encounter. They posted a 16:13 lead at the first intermission. Russia accounted for 21 points in the second term to boost the lead. They enjoyed a 37:27 halftime advantage. Russia maintained the advantage throughout the third quarter. Moreover the Kucherov team posted a 54:37 lead at the final break. Russia did not slow down and cruised to the victory at the end. Vladimir Ivanov (190-SF-96) and Aleksandr Gavrilov (192-PG-96) accounted for 12 points apiece for Russia. Jules Akodo (G-96) answered with 14 points for England. Joe Mvuezolo delivered 13 points in the loss.

They made 28-of-36 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. 29 personal fouls committed by Universitet-Yugra helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Chris Monroe (191-81, college: G.Washington) had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Aaron McGhee (203-79, college: Oklahoma) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Unics announced their decision not to renew the contract of head coach Stanislav Eremin . The specialist took over the Kazan team in February. He replaced Aco Petrovic . However Unics finished in just the fifth position in PBL regular season. They also surrendered againt Lokomotiv Kuban at the quarterfinal stage of the VTB League.
