CSKA Moscow announced that Nikita Kurbanov (202-F-86) is no longer member of the team. According to the Russian powerhouse, the player wanted to leave and two sides agreed to terminate their deal. Kurbanov spent last three seasons with CSKA Moscow. He also played for the club several years in the past. Nikita Kurbanov had 4.6 ppg and 3 rpg for 5 Euroleague games last season. He also added 3.2 ppg and 1.9 rpg for 10 games in VTB United league. In Russian championship, the player had almost the same numbers. CSKA Moscow won the Russian and VTB League titles, plus their reached Euroleague Finals and lost it in thriller against CSKA Moscow. Kurbanov had limited playing time also from 2009/10 and 2010/11. Season 2008/09 he spent with Spartak St.Petersbut and played for CSKA from 2006 to 2008. The played split 2005/06 between Lokomotiv Rostov na Donu and CSKA, and in the past he also played for CSKA juniors. Nikita Kurbanov played for the Russian National Team at 2009 EuroBasket in Poland. He had 4.9 ppg and 1.9 rpg for 9 games.
