They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Rostov will need more victories to improve their 14-7 record. Kotova has many years of experience at Rostov, through which she has constantly improved. Kotova has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 9.6rpg) and averages solid 51.5% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Kseniya Chinaeva (180-F/C-89) of Neftyanik. She is a forward in her 9th season at Neftyanik. In the last game Chinaeva recorded impressive double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Neftyanik was edged by slightly lower-ranked Stavropol (#5, 10-11) 59-57. Neftyanik managed to keep the same 4th spot in the standings. Her team's 10-9 record is not bad at all. Chinaeva is one of the most experienced players at Neftyanik and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Elizaveta Bratchikova (190-PF-96) of MBA-2 (#7). Bratchikova showcased her all-around game by recording 13 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. She was a key player of MBA-2, leading her team to a 74-59 easy win against the higher-ranked Samara (#3, 11-9). The chances of MBA-2 ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 11 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Bratchikova could help MBA-2 to bring them higher in the standings. Bratchikova has a great season in Russia. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.8rpg (5th best) and assists with 2.8apg (7th best).
The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
