The Regular Season in PBL just started.

Enisey - Spartak SP 64-70

The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 16-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American point guard Patrick Beverley (185-88, college: Arkansas) stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Spartak St.Petersburg's coach Jurij Zdovc used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American point guard Zabian Dowdell (191-84, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Jason Rich (191-86) scored 15 points. Khimky - Triumph 76-72

Khimky used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Lubertsy 76-72 on Wednesday night. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-72. It looked good early as Spartak-Prim. took an 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then CSKA Moscow had a 25-4 second period charge getting the lead and Spartak-Prim. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 51-82. CSKA Moscow dominated on the defensive end, holding Spartak-Prim. to just 4 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Spartak-Prim. 36-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Spartak-Prim. was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87) nailed 16 points and 5 assists for the winning side and American guard Aaron Jackson (190-86, college: Duquesne) accounted for 10 points and 4 assists. Four CSKA Moscow players scored in double figures. American forward Troy Gillenwater (205-88, college: N.Mexico St.) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (197-84, college: CS Northridge) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Spartak-Prim. in the defeat.

Avtodor Saratov (VTB) landed 23-year old international center Artem Klimenko (214-114kg-94). It is actually his comeback to Saratov as he has played here before. BC Khimki Moscow Region (VTB) re-signed 29-year old international guard Alexey Shved (198-73kg-88, agency: Alti Sport). He has played there for the last two seasons. In 14 Eurocup games he recorded very impressive stats: 22.1ppg, 4.0rpg, 5.2apg and 1.2spg last season. Shved helped them to make it to the quarterfinals. Khimky Podmoskoye keeps Ardislamov for another season - 2 days ago
Khimky-Podmoskovye Moscow Region (Superleague 1) re-signed 21-year old center Rodion Ardislamov (215-102kg-96). He played there last season. But in three Superleague 1 games he averaged just 1.3ppg. He played in the final of Russian VTB Youth League. The previous (15-16) season Ardislamov played at Dynamo-CBK Stavropol (Superleague 2) where in 30 games he had 5.7ppg and 3.2rpg.
