The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 16-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American point guard Patrick Beverley (185-88, college: Arkansas) stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Spartak St.Petersburg's coach Jurij Zdovc used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Khimky used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Lubertsy 76-72 on Wednesday night. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-72. But then CSKA Moscow had a 25-4 second period charge getting the lead and Spartak-Prim. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 51-82. CSKA Moscow dominated on the defensive end, holding Spartak-Prim. to just 4 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Spartak-Prim. 36-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Spartak-Prim. was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87) nailed 16 points and 5 assists for the winning side and American guard Aaron Jackson (190-86, college: Duquesne) accounted for 10 points and 4 assists. Four CSKA Moscow players scored in double figures.
