There were just four rounds played in Regular Season of PBL and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, favorites losing the games, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Spartak St.Petersburg (2-1) on the court of top-ranked CSKA Moscow on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by CSKA Moscow 78-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Spartak St.Petersburg. It was a key game for the top position in the league as both teams had the same 2-0 record before this meeting. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. CSKA Moscow made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game, while Spartak St.Petersburg only scored five points from the stripe. 28 personal fouls committed by Spartak St.Petersburg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 assists (made all of his eight free throws). The former international forward Viktor Khryapa (203-82) contributed with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Patrick Beverley (185-88, college: Arkansas) replied with 16 points and 5 steals for Spartak St.Petersburg. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CSKA Moscow have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 3-0 record. Spartak St.Petersburg at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with Krasnie Krilya.
