There were just four rounds played in Regular Season of PBL and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, favorites losing the games, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Spartak St.Petersburg (2-1) on the court of top-ranked CSKA Moscow on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by CSKA Moscow 78-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Spartak St.Petersburg. It was a key game for the top position in the league as both teams had the same 2-0 record before this meeting. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. CSKA Moscow made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game, while Spartak St.Petersburg only scored five points from the stripe. 28 personal fouls committed by Spartak St.Petersburg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 assists (made all of his eight free throws). The former international forward Viktor Khryapa (203-82) contributed with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Patrick Beverley (185-88, college: Arkansas) replied with 16 points and 5 steals for Spartak St.Petersburg. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CSKA Moscow have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 3-0 record. Spartak St.Petersburg at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with Krasnie Krilya. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Important game to mention about took place in Samara. Fifth ranked Krasnie Krilya (2-1) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Triumph Lyubertsy (1-2) 68-67 on Saturday evening. Krasnie Krilya moved-up to third place, which they share with Spartak SP. Triumph Lyubertsy at the other side dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. Krasnie Krilya will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Triumph Lyubertsy will play at home against BC Nizhny Novgorod (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Unics Kazan's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after one consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Lokomotiv (2-3) 75-47 on Sunday. The winners were led by Kostas Kaimakoglou who scored that evening 15 points and 7 rebounds. Even 10 points by Simas Jasaitis did not help to save the game for Lokomotiv. Unics Kazan will meet league's second-placed Khimky in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
