But the hosts turned things around in the second quarter. Triumph denied the deficit and pulled ahead. The home team accounted for a 41:34 halftime lead. The hosts led by 11 points midway through the third term but VEF Riga cut the margin. They went on a 7:2 run to narrow the deficit. But Triumph used an 8:0 run to regain the lead. They maintained the advantage and protected till the final buzzer.
