Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Russians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Alexey Shved (198-88, agency: Alti Sport, currently plays in NBA). He was the major contributor in a Minnesota Timberwolves' victory against the Milwaukee Bucks (7-7) 95-85 in the NBA in Friday night's game. Shved recorded 16 points and added 5 assists in 32 minutes on the court. The Minnesota Timberwolves have 7-8 record this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Shved has relatively good stats this year: 10.4ppg, 2.6rpg, 3.7apg, 2FGP: 46.9%, 3FGP: 31.3% and FT: 86.8% in the 15 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Russian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward Andrei Kirilenko (209-81, currently plays in NBA) is a teammate of previously mentioned Alexey Shved. But that was another game of his team in NBA which we would like to mention. Kirilenko led Minnesota Timberwolves to a victory against the Sacramento Kings (4-11) 97-89. He recorded 14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and made 3 blocks. The Minnesota Timberwolves have 7-8 record this season. It's Kirilenko's first year with the team. Kirilenko has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 13.0ppg, 7.8rpg, 3.4apg, 1.8bpg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 54.3%, 3FGP: 37.5% and FT: 71.4%. Kirilenko is a naturalized American. He is in the roster of the Russian senior national team. Kirilenko used to play for CSKA Moscow in Russian league.

   #3. The Russian player who performed third best last week abroad was University international center Ivan Nelyubov (207-88, currently plays in Baltic League). He led his Estonian team TU/Rock to a victory over the sixth-ranked Valga (1-7) crushing them 98-66 in the Baltic League in Friday night's game. Nelyubov was MVP of the game. He recorded 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Tartu Ulikool/Rock (8-1) is placed first in group B. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Baltic League Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Nelyubov's first season with the team. Nelyubov's overall stats this year are: 9.9ppg, 5.3rpg, 2FGP: 58.7%(37-63) and FT: 75.0%. He played for the Russian university national team one years ago.

   #4. Center Timofey Mozgov (215-86, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA could not help the Denver Nuggets (8-9) to beat the Los Angeles Lakers (8-8). He recorded 6 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. The Denver Nuggets were badly defeated 122-103 on the road by the Lakers. It was Nuggets' third consecutive loss in a row. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Mozgov's overall stats this season are: 3.1ppg and 3.3rpg. He is also Russian national team player.

Former U18 international guard Teymuraz Babunashvili (185-90, currently plays in Georgia) managed to help Kutaisi Kutaisi to win against the fourth-ranked Olimpi (5-1) 97-81 in the Georgian Superleague last Saturday. He scored only 2 points, had 4 boards, dished 6 assists and stole 3 balls. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Kutaisi Kutaisi (1-0) is placed in the Superleague. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Babunashvili's overall stats this season are: 5.2ppg, 2.4rpg, 3.2apg and 1.6spg. He has a dual citizenship: Russian and Georgian. Babunashvili used to play for the Russian U18 national team four years ago.

Forward Stanislav Dikiy (201-88, agency: New Trend Agency, currently plays in Ukraine) contributed to Ferro-ZNTU's victory against the closely-ranked Budivelnyk (11-5) 102-98 in the Ukrainian Superleague on Friday night. He scored only 4 points in 4 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye (12-4) is placed first in the Superleague. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Dikiy averages just 1.7ppg in the 14 games. He is a former U18 international player as he played for the Russian team six years ago.

University international forward Aleksandr Fomin (206-86, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in VTB United League) was not able to help the league outsider Tsmoki-Minsk (0-7) in their game against VEF Riga (5-2) in the VTB United League. Fomin recorded 5 points. The tenth-placed Tsmoki-Minsk was crushed 98-73 in Riga by the second-ranked VEF Riga in the group B of VTB United League. So far Tsmoki-Minsk lost all seven games in the Regular Season. Fomin's overall stats this season are: 6.1ppg and 1.6rpg. He used to play for the Russian university national team last year.


The list of other players, who all have Russian passport but never been selected to any of Russian national teams:

   #1. Lazaros Papadopoulos (210-C-80, currently plays in Greece) led PAOK to a victory over the 11th-ranked Aris (2-5) 72-63 in a derby game in the Greek A1 on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Papadopoulos recorded 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 35 minutes. PAOK Thessaloniki (5-2) is placed fourth in the A1. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Papadopoulos is currently seventh on the league's list of best passers with 3.7apg. This year his other stats are: 13.1ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.1bpg in the seven games he played so far. Papadopoulos has a dual citizenship: Russian and Greek.

   #2. Raul Lopez (183-PG-80, currently plays in Eurocup) managed to help Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao Basket in a victory against the closely-ranked Lukoil Academik (1-3) crushing them 82-60 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. Lopez recorded 5 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in 18 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao Basket (4-0) is placed first in the Eurocup. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. There are only two games left until the end of the Eurocup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Lopez's overall stats are: 5.0ppg, 4.0rpg and 2.0apg in the two games.

   #3. Anton Indrikov (193-G-87, currently plays in Belarus) was the main contributor in Rubon's victory against one of league's weakest teams Svisloch (1-8) 77-63 in the Belarusian Premier League on Friday night. He was the best player in that game. Indrikov scored 28 points (!!!) and grabbed 6 rebounds. BK Rubon Vitebsk (6-3) is placed third in the Premier League. Indrikov's overall stats this season are: 9.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 1.6apg and 1.7spg.

   #4. Nikita Khartchenkov (200-F-87, currently plays in Germany) contributed to an overtime USC Leipzig's victory against the closely-ranked Kirchheim Knights (4-7) 96-94 in the German ProA (second division) in Saturday night's game. He was the best player in that game. Khartchenkov scored 33 points (!!!) and grabbed 4 rebounds in 39 minutes. Uni-Riesen Leipzig (3-8) is located at the very bottom in the ProA. Khartchenkov is currently eighth on the league's list of top scorers with 16.9ppg. He also averaged so far 4.2rpg and 1.3apg in the nine games. Khartchenkov is another player who holds two passports: Russian and German. Despite his Russian nationality, Khartchenkov previously played for the German U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Russian team.

   #5. Dmitry Flis (203-F/C-84, currently plays in Spain) was the major contributor in a 2-point River Andorra's victory against the 11th-ranked Caceres Basket (3-6) 71-69 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Friday night. Flis scored 15 points, had 4 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 23 minutes. B.C. River Andorra (3-0) is placed in the LEB Gold. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Flis is currently second on the league's list of best blockers with 1.4bpg. This year his other stats are: 12.3ppg and 4.2rpg in the nine games. Flis has both Russian and Spanish nationalities.

   #6. Aleksey Adediran (204-C-82, college: Binghamton, currently plays in Ukraine) contributed to Mykolaiv's victory against the league outsider BC Odessa 82-75 in the Ukrainian Superleague in Friday night's game. He scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Adediran's overall stats this season are: 8.0ppg and 2.9rpg. He also holds two passports: Nigerian and Russian.

   #7. Anton Kazarnovski (205-F/C-85, currently plays in Israel), who plays in the Israeli National League (second division) could not help Hapoel Kazrin (3-4) in their last game. Despite Kazarnovski's good performance Hapoel Kazrin was crushed 94-58 at home by the higher-ranked (#3) Ironi Nes-Ziona. He had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 10 rebounds. Kazarnovski also added 3 assists in 31 minutes. This year he has relatively solid stats: 12.7ppg, 9.0rpg and 2.6apg in the seven games. Kazarnovski holds both Russian and Israeli passports. Despite his Russian nationality, Kazarnovski previously played for the Israeli university national team and probably cannot be called to the Russian team.

   #8. Aliaksandr Pustahvar (202-SF-85, currently plays in VTB United League) was not able to help the league outsider Tsmoki-Minsk in their game against VEF Riga in the VTB United League. He recorded only 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. His team was crushed by 25 points 98-73. Pustahvar's overall stats this season are: 7.6ppg and 4.3rpg. He has Russian and Belarusian nationalities.

   #9. Dmitri Lipovtsev (207-C-86, currently plays in Ukraine) contributed to a 3-point Musson's victory against the closely-ranked Tornado 64-61 in the Ukrainian Higher League (second division) in Sunday night's game. Lipovtsev was the best player in that game. He scored 22 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 39 minutes. Lipovtsev is ranked eighth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of best blockers (first place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Lipovtsev averages: 15.4ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.6apg, 2.2bpg and 1.3spg in the 11 games.

   #10. Roman Legonkov (201-G-89, currently plays in Ukraine) is a teammate of previously mentioned Dmitri Lipovtsev. But that was another game of his team in Ukrainian Higher League which we would like to mention. Legonkov contributed to Musson's victory against the seventh-ranked VolinBasket 70-56. He scored 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 22 minutes. This year Legonkov's overall stats are: 5.6ppg and 3.1rpg in the nine games.

BC Samara-SGEU (Superleague 1) inked 28-year old forward Dmitriy Golovin (192-82kg-88). He played most recently at Zenit (VTB). In 16 Eurocup games he averaged just 2.6ppg, 1.7rpg and 1.5apg last season. Superleague 1 will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. Superleague 1 newcomer Arrat Yerevan strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old point guard Viktor Uskov (183-80kg-86). He played last season at Arsenal in the Superleague 2. In 25 games he recorded 11.5ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.7apg and 1.4spg. The previous (14-15) season Uskov was tested by Musson (Higher League). Superleague 1 newcomer Arrat Yerevan tabbed 24-year old Armenian international swingman Artur Khachaturian (194-85kg-92). The last time (12-14) he played at SC Kryvbas in Ukrainian SL Favorit Sport. Khachaturian also represented Armenia at the European Championship for Small Countries in Moldova this year. His team won Gold and he averaged 10.0ppg at the event.
