Union Olimpija - Khimky 74:72

Klemen Prepelic (191-G-92) put on a show in the last 15 seconds draining back-to-back triples to propel Union Olimpija to a hard-fought home win over Khimky. The Slovenian powerhouse improved at 3-6 record in Group A but has no chance to advance into Top 16. Khimky fell at 5-4 record after the defeat.
Khimky started strong as they accumulated a 19:13 lead ten minutes into the game. Union Olimpija stopped the rot and pleased the home fans with a 21:12 run. The hosts accumulated a 34:31 halftime lead. Khimky used a 6:0 run midway through the third term to level things up at 48. The teams entered the final quarter tied at 50. Union Olimpija jumped to a 59:53 lead early in the fourth stanza after a three-pointer from Klemen Prepelic. Dino Muric made it 61:53 but Khimky answered with six points in a row to narrow the deficit. K.C. River and Zhukanenko made it 69:65 for the visitors with 48 seconds remaining. James Augustine followed with a free throw as the game seemed to slip away from the home team. But Jaka Blazic (196-G-90) hit from beyond the arc and then Klemen Prepelic followed two free throws from Vitaliy Fridzon (195-G-85, agency: Alti Sport) with two huge bombs to seal the victory for Union Olimpija. Prepelic finished with 16 points for the home team. Jaka Blazic added 13 points for the winners. Paul Davis (211-C-84, college: Michigan St.) answered with 20 points for Khimky. Vitaliy Fridzon chipped in 12 points in the loss.

Union Olimpija: Klemen Prepelic 16, Jaka Blazic 13, Sasu Salin 11, Aron Baynes 11, Drazen Bubnic 11
