Aleksandr Savenkov (205-F-82) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Univ.Surgut and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Superleague Player of the Week award for round 10. The 30-year old forward had a double-double of 13 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team beat Novosybirsk (#4, 6-3) in overtime 88-79. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Univ.Surgut is placed at 2nd position in Russian Superleague. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Univ.Surgut will need more victories to improve their 7-2 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Savenkov as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Savenkov has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 8.6rpg).
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 23-year old American forward David Loubeau (203-F-89) of Planeta-Univ.. Loubeau impressed basketball fans with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he lead Planeta-Univ. to another comfortable win 99-85 over the lower-ranked Sojuz Zaretchny (#13, 2-7) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Planeta-Univ. keeps 10th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 5-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Loubeau is a newcomer at Planeta-Univ. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.
The third best performed player last round was Kazakhstan Stanislav Makshantsev (205-PF-78) of Novosybirsk (#4). Makshantsev scored 16 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Makshantsev's great performance Novosybirsk lost 79-88in overtime to #2 ranked Univ.Surgut. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Novosybirsk needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 3 lost games. Makshantsev has a great season in Russia. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.1ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 8.0rpg (4th best). Stanislav Makshantsev has also Russian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
