In Day 2 Spain won over Russia 83:60 as PAVEL LOVAREV posted 16 points in the losing effort. In the game for the third place Spain OT (second squad) beat Russia 74:71. The hosts started with 20-14 lead, but Russian team won the second and the third quarters for 2 point lead after 30 minutes. Only due to 26-21 in the last stanza Spain OT managed to seal the win. CARLOS HIDALGO stepped up with 25 points and ALEJANDRO MAZAIRA notched 20. Ilya Karpenkov and DMITRII DOBRYNIN finished the game with 16 points each, whilst PAVEL LOVAREV added 15.
