Here is the weekly review of the top performing Russian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Andrei Kirilenko (209-81, currently plays in NBA). He was the major contributor in a Minnesota Timberwolves' victory against the New Orleans Hornets (5-21) 113-102 in the NBA in Friday night's game. Kirilenko had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 11 rebounds in 39 minutes on the court. The Minnesota Timberwolves have 13-11 record this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Kirilenko has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 13.7ppg, 7.3rpg, 3.4apg, 1.6bpg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 56.5%(91-161), 3FGP: 28.2% and FT: 75.6% in the 20 games he played so far. Kirilenko is a naturalized American. He is currently a member of the Russian senior national team. Kirilenko used to play for CSKA Moscow in Russian league.

   #2. Second place goes to an international guard Alexey Shved (198-88, agency: Alti Sport, currently plays in NBA) is a teammate of previously mentioned Andrei Kirilenko. But that was another game of his team in NBA which we would like to mention. Shved led Minnesota Timberwolves to an overtime victory against the Dallas Mavericks (12-15) 114-106. He recorded 18 points and added 6 passes. The Minnesota Timberwolves have 13-11 record this season. It's Shved's first year with the team. Shved has relatively good stats this year: 10.3ppg, 2.6rpg, 4.4apg, 2FGP: 46.2%, 3FGP: 33.0% and FT: 72.9%. He is in the roster of the Russian senior national team.

   #3. The Russian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Timofey Mozgov (215-86, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in NBA). He contributed to an easy victory against the Sacramento Kings (8-18) crushing them 122-97 in the NBA in Sunday night's game. Mozgov scored 6 points. The Denver Nuggets have 14-13 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Mozgov's overall stats this year are: 3.2ppg, 3.3rpg, 2FGP: 57.6%(19-33). He is also a member of the Russian senior national team.

   #4. Center Ivan Nelyubov (207-88, currently plays in Baltic League) contributed to an easy victory against the third-ranked Juventus (5-5) 114-97 in the Baltic League on Saturday night. Nelyubov scored 9 points. Tartu Ulikool/Rock (9-1) is placed first in group B. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the Baltic League. It's Nelyubov's first season with the team. His overall stats this year are: 9.8ppg and 5.0rpg. Nelyubov used to play for the Russian university national team last year.

   #5. Former U18 international guard Teymuraz Babunashvili (185-90, currently plays in Georgia), who plays in the Georgian Superleague could not help Kutaisi (1-0) to beat MIA (8-2). He scored 9 points in 32 minutes. Buthis team was badly defeated 87-70 at home by the second-ranked MIA. The Regular Season already ended. This year Babunashvili's overall stats are: 5.3ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.6apg and 1.3spg in the seven games. He has a dual citizenship: Russian and Georgian. Babunashvili used to play for the Russian U18 national team four years ago.

Forward Andrey Semenov (201-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) led JMU to a victory against the University of North Carolina, Greensboro (1-0) 85-73 in the NCAA on Sunday night. He scored 14 points. The James Madison University has conference record this season. Semenov has been at the team for five years. Semenov's total stats this year are: 5.3ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.6apg and 1.3spg. He is a former U18 international player as he played for the Russian team four years ago.

U20 international forward Nikita Barinov (203-91, currently plays in Lithuania) managed to help Neptunas Klaipeda to win against the ninth-ranked Pieno Zvaigzdes (4-6) 89-72 in the Lithuanian LKL last Tuesday. He scored only 2 points. Neptunas Klaipeda (7-3) is placed second in the LKL. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Barinov's total stats this season are: 5.9ppg and 2.5rpg. He used to play for the Russian U20 national team last year.


The list of other players, who all have Russian passport but never been selected to any of Russian national teams:

   #1. Lazaros Papadopoulos (210-C-80, currently plays in Greece) contributed to PAOK's victory against the 12th-ranked Panelefsiniakos (2-8) 84-78 in the Greek A1 on Saturday night. Papadopoulos recorded 10 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks in 18 minutes. PAOK Thessaloniki (8-2) is placed third in the A1. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. It's Papadopoulos' first season with the team. Papadopoulos is currently fifth on the list of best rebounders with 6.8rpg. This year his other stats are: 13.1ppg, 3.5apg and 1.1bpg in the 10 games he played so far. Papadopoulos has a dual citizenship: Russian and Greek.

   #2. Aleksey Adediran (204-C-82, college: Binghamton, currently plays in Ukraine) led Mykolaiv to a victory over the league outsider BC Kyiv (5-17) 76-63 in the Ukrainian Superleague last Friday. Adediran was MVP of the game. He recorded 16 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks in 23 minutes. MBC Mykolaiv (10-11) is placed seventh in the Superleague. It's Adediran's first season with the team. This year Adediran's overall stats are: 9.8ppg and 3.9rpg in the 18 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Nigerian and Russian.

   #3. Dmitry Flis (203-F/C-84, currently plays in Spain) was the main contributor in a River Andorra's victory against the 11th-ranked Lleida Basquet (5-7) 76-67 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Friday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Flis scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. B.C. River Andorra (3-0) is placed in the LEB Gold. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. Flis belongs to league's best blockers and is ranked #2 with 1.4bpg. He also averaged so far 12.5ppg and 5.1rpg in the 12 games. Flis has both Russian and Spanish nationalities.

   #4. Anton Indrikov (193-G-87, currently plays in Belarus) was the major contributor in Rubon's victory against the closely-ranked Impuls BGUIR (3-9) 73-54 in the Belarusian Premier League last Friday. He scored 13 points and had 5 steals. BK Rubon Vitebsk (8-4) is placed third in the Premier League. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This season Indrikov has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.9apg and 1.8spg.

   #5. Nikita Khartchenkov (200-F-87, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German ProA (second division) could not help USC Leipzig (3-11) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked USC Leipzig lost 90-98 on the road to the second-ranked SC Rasta Vechta. Khartchenkov was the second best scorer with 19 points. He also added 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 34 minutes. It was USC Leipzig's third consecutive loss in a row. Khartchenkov has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.4ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.8apg in the 12 games. Khartchenkov also holds two passports: Russian and German. Despite his Russian nationality, Khartchenkov previously played for the German U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Russian team.

   #6. Dmitri Lipovtsev (207-C-86, currently plays in Ukraine) contributed to Musson's victory against the closely-ranked Khartsyzsk 77-67 in the Ukrainian Higher League (second division) in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Lipovtsev scored 31 points (!!!), grabbed 6 rebounds, passed 3 assists and added 2 blocks. Lipovtsev belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #5) and also on the list of best rebounders (fifth place). This season he has very high stats. Lipovtsev averages: 16.2ppg, 6.7rpg, 2.4apg, 2.2bpg and 1.5spg.

   #7. Ruslan Nazmiev (200-G-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Georgia) contributed to Sokhumi's victory against the fifth-ranked Kutaisi 90-86 in the Georgian Superleague in Saturday night's game. Nazmiev scored 14 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 29 minutes. This year his total stats are: 8.4ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.7apg and 1.3spg in the nine games. Nazmiev has dual citizenship: Uzbekistani and Russian.

   #8. Aliaksandr Pustahvar (202-SF-85, currently plays in VTB United League) was not able to help the league outsider Tsmoki-Minsk in their game against CEZ Nymburk in the VTB United League. Pustahvar cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 3 points in 9 minutes on the court. His team lost 56-65. This year Pustahvar's total stats are: 7.4ppg and 3.7rpg in the nine games. He has Russian and Belarusian nationalities.

   #9. Albert Kuppe (195-F-88, currently plays in Germany) managed to help BiG Oettinger Rockets Gotha to win against one of league's weakest teams Crailsheim Merlins 66-63 in the German ProA (second division) in Saturday night's game. Kuppe scored 5 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Kuppe's total stats this season are: 5.4ppg and 2.4rpg. He has dual citizenship: Russian and German.

   #10. Roman Legonkov (201-G-89, currently plays in Ukraine) is a teammate of previously mentioned Dmitri Lipovtsev. But that was another game of his team in Ukrainian Higher League which we would like to mention. Legonkov contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Avantazh-Politekhnik crushing them 98-60. He scored 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 21 minutes. This year Legonkov's total stats are: 5.8ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.2spg in the 15 games.

Ourense Termal (LEB Gold) added to their roster 32-year old naturalized Russian power forward Dmitriy Flis (204-100kg-84). He played last season at ICL Manresa (Liga Endesa). In 30 games he recorded 5.3ppg and 2.1rpg. LEB Gold will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. BC Khimky Moscow Region (VTB) signed 33-year old Bulgarian point guard Earl Rowland (188-86kg-83, college: St.Mary's, CA). He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. Rowland played last season at Hapoel Jerusalem in Israeli Winner League. In 40 games he had 11.7ppg, 3.1rpg, 3.9apg and 1.5spg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. BC Irkut Irkutsk (Superleague 1) inked 32-year old power forward Aleksey Tsvetkov (207-104kg-84) from Kupol-Rodniki Izhevsk. In 24 Superleague 1 games he recorded 8.4ppg and 5.0rpg last season. Among other achievements Tsvetkov's team made it to the Superleague Semifinals in 2012. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Russian Superleague Honorable Mention award in 2015.
