Here is the weekly review of the top performing Russian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is U20 international power forward Ksenia Tikhonenko (193-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Romania). Tikhonenko contributed to a CSM Targoviste's victory against the sixth-ranked Alexandria (8-6) 83-70 in the Romanian Division A last Saturday. She scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. CSM Targoviste (13-1) is placed second in the Division A. It was her team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. This season Tikhonenko averages: 8.4ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.5apg, 2FGP: 58.3%(49-84) and FT: 51.4%. She has a dual citizenship: Russian and Kazakhstan. Tikhonenko is currently a member of the Russian U20 national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international center Irina Osipova (196-81, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TKBL. She could not help Istanbul Universitesi (5-5) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Osipova's good performance Istanbul Universitesi was edged 62-59 on the road by the higher-ranked Botas (#3). She recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting 12 rebounds. Osipova also added 3 assists. Osipova has relatively good stats this season: 10.7ppg, 8.8rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 54.8% and FT: 75.0%. She is in the roster of the Russian senior national team.

   #3. The Russian player who performed third best last week abroad was former U20 international forward Anastasiya Kolotilschikova (182-90, currently plays in Ukraine). She was not able to help Dynamo (6-3) in their game against Tim-Scuf (6-4) in the Ukrainian Higher League (12th division). Kolotilschikova scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The league leader Dynamo was badly defeated 88-70 in a derby game by the lower-ranked Tim-Scuf (#4). Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Kolotilschikova's overall stats this season are: 8.3ppg, 3.5rpg, 2FGP: 22.2%, 3FGP: 45.0%. She played for the Russian U20 national team two years ago.

   #4. Guard Yana Panevina (168-91, currently plays in Belarus) led Tsmoki-Minsk to a victory over the closely-ranked Sozh Gomel (3-6) 71-54 in the Belarusian Premier League last Thursday. She was MVP of the game. Panevina recorded 14 points and added 4 passes. BK Tsmoki-Minsk (7-1) is placed second in the Premier League. It was her team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. It's Panevina's first season with the team. This year she has relatively solid stats: 10.4ppg, 1.9rpg, 2.3apg and 1.5spg. Panevina used to play for the Russian U20 national team last year.


The list of other players, who all have Russian passport but never been selected to any of Russian national teams:

   #1. Irina Mihailova (191-F-81, currently plays in Hungary), who plays in the Hungarian A Division could not help ZTE NKK (9-6) in their last game. Despite her very good performance ZTE NKK was edged 73-72 on the road by the league outsider (#10) MBK Eurl.Vasas. Mihailova was the second best scorer with 17 points. She also added 7 rebounds in 28 minutes. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Mihailova's first season with the team. Mihailova has relatively good stats this year: 10.1ppg and 4.4rpg in the 14 games she played so far. She has a dual citizenship: Moldovan and Russian.

   #2. Experienced Elena Vishnyakova (191-F-78, college: G.Washington, currently plays in France) led Laveyron to a victory over the closely-ranked Roche (6-6) 72-66 in the French LF2 (12th division) on Saturday night. She was MVP of the game. Vishnyakova had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 12 rebounds. She also added and 3 steals (made all of her six free throws) in 38 minutes. US Laveyron Drome (7-5) is placed sixth in the LF2. It was her team's first victory after three consecutive loses. Vishnyakova is ranked second on the list of the best rebounders in the league with 10.4rpg. This year her other stats are: 12.6ppg, 1.6apg and 1.9spg in the 10 games. Vishnyakova is another player who holds two passports: Russian and French.

   #3. Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-C-89, currently plays in Belarus) was the major contributor in Gorizont's victory against the closely-ranked Sozh Gomel (3-6) 81-65 in the Belarusian Premier League last Wednesday. Khomenchuk had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 13 rebounds (made all of her six free throws) in 29 minutes. BK Gorizont Minsk (6-2) is placed third in the Premier League. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Khomenchuk belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #3 with 10.0rpg. This year she also averages: 10.6ppg and 1.3apg in the eight games. Khomenchuk has both Russian and Ukrainian nationalities.

   #4. Ekaterina Abramzon (185-F-87, currently plays in Romania) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Targu Mures (11-4) crushing them 72-47 in the Romanian Division A in Saturday night's game. Abramzon scored 8 points and blocked 2 blocks in 26 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. CSU Alba Iulia (10-4) is placed fourth in the Division A. It was her team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This year Abramzon's overall stats are: 6.4ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg in the 14 games. She also holds two passports: Russian and Israeli.

   #5. Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-C-81, currently plays in Belarus) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider BrGU COR Victoria (0-9) crushing them 100-54 in the Belarusian Premier League last Wednesday. Alyoshkina recorded 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. SBK Olimpia Grodno (7-0) is placed first in the Premier League. So far her team won all seven games in the Regular Season. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Alyoshkina is currently first on the league's list of best rebounders. She has very reliable stats this season: 12.4ppg, 11.3rpg and 1.3apg. Alyoshkina holds both Russian and Ukrainian passports.

   #6. Olga Fedorova (189-C-78, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LF2 (12th division) was not able to help the league outsider Arxil Pontevedra (0-9) in their last game. Despite her very good performance the 11th-placed Arxil Pontevedra was edged 68-67 in Vigo by the higher-ranked (#9) Real Celta in the Group A. Fedorova was the top scorer with 22 points. She also added 5 rebounds in 29 minutes. Fedorova is currently third on the league's list of best rebounders with 9.9rpg. This year her other stats are: 14.0ppg and 1.8spg in the eight games.

   #7. Anna Sokolan (178-G-84, currently plays in Bulgaria) contributed to Neftochimic's victory against the fifth-ranked Levski 78-69 in the Bulgarian NBL in Tuesday night's game. Sokolan recorded 8 points. This season she has relatively solid stats: 10.3ppg, 3.6rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg. Sokolan has dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Russian.

   #8. Tatiana Shapochkina (179-G-85, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Lyubov Alyoshkina and both played together in the last Belarusian Premier League game. Shapochkina contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider BrGU COR Victoria crushing them 100-54. She recorded 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 28 minutes. Shapochkina is currently fourth on the list of top scorers and also on the list of best passers (sixth place). She has individually a very good year with high stats. Shapochkina averages: 15.3ppg, 5.1rpg, 2.7apg and 2.3spg in the seven games. She holds both Ukrainian and Russian passports.

   #9. Zhanna Horodetskaya (180-G-79, currently plays in Baltic League) contributed to Tsmoki-Minsk's victory against one of league's weakest teams Eclex Tallinn 72-65 in the Baltic League on Saturday night. Horodetskaya scored 16 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Horodetskaya is currently sixth on the list of top scorers. Her overall stats this season are: 8.6ppg and 4.6rpg. Horodetskaya has Russian and Belarusian nationalities.

   #10. Zarema Gahayeva (185-PF-96, currently plays in Belgium) was not able to secure a victory for Sint Kateline Waver in their game against Castors Braine in the Belgian Division I. She scored 5 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 15 minutes. Her team was edged 67-66. This year Gahayeva's overall stats are: 5.4ppg and 4.8rpg in the nine games.

UMMC - Nadezhda 75:65 UMMC defended UMMC Cup title. They beat Nadezhda for the fifth straight trophy. Nika Baric (169-PG-92) posted 21 points to lead the hosts. UMMC eked out a 26:25 lead ten minutes into the game. The hosts extended the margin at 10-point mark at halftime 48:38. Spartak MR - UNI Gyor 69:68 Spartak Moscow Region clinched the third position at the UMMC Cup pre-season tournament. They nipped UNI Gyor in the consolation final. Mariya Davydova (190-F/C-93, college: FIU) scored 26 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead the Russian side. UNI Gyor jumped to a 23:13 lead after the opening frame. UMMC - Uni Gyor 92:47 UMMC advanced into UMMC Cup Final. They cruised past Uni Gyor in the first day of the tournament. Anna Petrakova (189-PF-84) posted 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the winning side. UMMC grabbed a 26:9 lead after the opening frame. They extended the lead at 24-point mark at the interval 47:23.
