BC Sojuz Zaretchny (Superlaegue) inked 26-year old Belarusian ex-international guard Maksim Shustau (188-95kg-86). He played recently at Svisloch in Belarusian Premier League. In 12 games this season he averaged 15.0ppg, 3.2rpg, 5.3apg and 2.2spg. He helped them to make it to the cup final. The most of last season Shustau spent at Tsmoki-Minsk in Premier League. In 18 games last year he had 13.6ppg, 3.2rpg, 5.3apg and 1.5spg. He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. Shustau also played at Tobol in Kazakhstan D1 earlier that season. The previous (10-11) season he played at Borisfen in Belarusian First League. In 42 games that year he had very impressive stats: 16.9ppg, 3.2rpg, 4.8apg and 2.4spg. A very good season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Belarusian League 2nd Team. Among other achievements Shustaus team won Belarusian Cup in 2005 and 2009. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Belarusian League Domestic Player of the Year award back in 2009. Shustau was also a member of Belarusian international program for some years. He played for Belarusian Senior National Team in 2008 and previouslyfor U18 National Team between 2003 and 2004. Shustau represented Belarus at the European Championships U20 in Izmir (Turkey) six years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 10.5ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.8apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 19%, 3FGP: 44.4%, FT: 66.7%. Shustau has played also professionally in Belarus (Vitalyur-RGUOR and BK Grodno-93).

Surgut advanced to Superleague Finals after a 3-2 win the series against Avtodor. The game was mostly controlled by Universitet-Yugra. Avtodor managed to win second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CSKA edged Krasnie Krilya in Game 2 and stepped closer to the Semifinals of the VTB league. The Russian Champion posted a 87:78 win before heading to Samara.

Khimki celebrated the second straight win at the VTB League Quarterfinals. The Winner of Group A improved to 2-0 lead in the series after a 104:82 win in Game 2.
