Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Russians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Alexey Shved (198-88, agency: Alti Sport, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Minnesota Timberwolves (13-13) in their last game. Despite Shved's very good performance the Minnesota Timberwolves were edged 94-91 on the road by the New York Knicks. He was the second best scorer with 18 points. Shved also added 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 39 minutes on the court. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Shved's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season: 10.8ppg, 2.7rpg, 4.3apg, 2FGP: 47.1%, 3FGP: 33.6% and FT: 72.9% in the 26 games he played so far. Shved is currently a member of the Russian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward Andrei Kirilenko (209-81, currently plays in NBA) is a teammate of previously mentioned Alexey Shved. But that was another game of his team in NBA which we would like to mention. Kirilenko. He was not able to help the Minnesota Timberwolves (13-13) in their game against the Houston Rockets (16-13). Kirilenko scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The Minnesota Timberwolves were edged 87-84 in Houston by the Rockets. It's Kirilenko's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Kirilenko averages: 13.0ppg, 7.0rpg, 3.2apg, 1.5bpg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 55.6%(95-171), 3FGP: 26.8% and FT: 75.0%. He is a naturalized American. Kirilenko is in the roster of the Russian senior national team. He used to play for CSKA Moscow in Russian league.

   #3. The Russian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Timofey Mozgov (215-86, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in NBA). Mozgov managed to help Denver Nuggets to win against the Charlotte Bobcats (7-22) crushing them 110-88 in the NBA on Saturday night. He scored only 3 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The Denver Nuggets have 17-14 record this season. Mozgov's overall stats this year are: 2.8ppg, 3.0rpg, 2FGP: 57.1%(20-35) and FT: 66.7%. He is also a member of the Russian senior national team.

   #4. Forward Andrey Semenov (201-90, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to JMU's surprising victory against the San Jose State University 77-68 in the NCAA last Saturday. Semenov scored 9 points. The James Madison University has conference record this season. Semenov has been at the team for five years. His overall stats this year are: 1.9ppg and 1.8rpg. Semenov used to play for the Russian U18 national team back in 2008.

Former U20 international forward Maxim Zakharov (198-89, college: E.Utah JC, currently plays in Belgium) was not able to secure a victory for VOO Verviers-Pepinster (2-7) in their game against Antwerp Giants (5-5) in the Belgian Ethias League. He recorded 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes. The bottom-ranked VOO Verviers-Pepinster was crushed 102-78 in Antwerp by the higher-ranked (#5) Giants. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Zakharov's overall stats are: 9.3ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.3apg in the four games. He used to play for the Russian U20 national team three years ago.

   #6. Guard Teymuraz Babunashvili (185-90, currently plays in Georgia) couldn't help Kutaisi (1-0) in their game against Sokhumi (3-7) in the Georgian Superleague. Babunashvili scored only 4 points in 30 minutes. his team lost 86-90 in Tbilisi to the much lower-ranked (#9) Sokhumi. The Regular Season already ended. This year Babunashvili's total stats are: 5.1ppg, 1.9rpg, 2.5apg and 1.3spg in the eight games. He is a former U18 international player as he played for the Russian team four years ago.

   #7. Former U20 international center Ruslan Pateev (213-90, currently studies in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Texas Tech University 77-62 in the NCAA on Saturday night. Pateev scored only 4 points. The Arizona State University has conference record this season. Pateev plays fourth season for the team. He has averaged so far 5.1ppg, 1.9rpg, 2.5apg and 1.3spg. Pateev used to play for the Russian U20 national team two years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Russian passport but never been selected to any of Russian national teams:

   #1. Raul Lopez (183-PG-80, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a Gescrap BB's victory against the 11th-ranked Blusens Monbus (7-7) 81-70 in the Spanish ACB on Saturday night. Lopez scored 8 points in 18 minutes. Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao Basket (10-4) is placed fourth in the ACB. This year Lopez's overall stats are: 7.4ppg, 1.7rpg and 2.4apg in the nine games he played so far.

   #2. Aleksey Adediran (204-C-82, college: Binghamton, currently plays in Ukraine), who plays in the Ukrainian Superleague could not help Mykolaiv (11-12) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Mykolaiv was defeated 92-77 on the road by the lower-ranked DniproAzot (#11). Adediran was the top scorer with 19 points. He also added 7 rebounds. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This season Adediran has relatively solid stats: 10.2ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.1spg. He has a dual citizenship: Nigerian and Russian.

   #3. Anton Kazarnovski (205-F/C-85, currently plays in Israel) led Hapoel Kazrin to a victory over the closely-ranked Maccabi K/G (3-7) 83-77 in the Israeli National League (second division) last Tuesday. Kazarnovski was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 32 points and getting 12 rebounds. Kazarnovski also added 4 assists in 37 minutes. Kazrin/Galil (4-6) is placed ninth in the National League. It was his team's first victory after four consecutive loses. This year Kazarnovski has relatively solid stats: 13.5ppg, 8.6rpg and 2.8apg in the 10 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Russian and Israeli. Despite Kazarnovski's Russian nationality, he previously played for the Israeli university national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Russian team.

   #4. Dmitry Flis (203-F/C-84, currently plays in Spain) was the main contributor in a River Andorra's victory against the ninth-ranked Lleida Basquet (5-7) 76-67 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Friday night's game. Flis was MVP of the game. He scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. B.C. River Andorra (3-0) is placed in the LEB Gold. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. Flis belongs to league's best blockers and is ranked #2 with 1.4bpg. He also averaged so far 12.5ppg and 5.1rpg in the 12 games. Flis has both Russian and Spanish nationalities.

   #5. Giorgi Kvelashvili (206-C-81, currently plays in Georgia), who plays in the Georgian Superleague was not able to help Batumi (3-7) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance Batumi was crushed 107-75 at home by the higher-ranked Energy Invest (#4). Kvelashvili was the top scorer with 21 points. He also added 4 steals. The Regular Season already ended. Kvelashvili's overall stats this season are: 8.0ppg and 5.9rpg. He also holds two passports: Russian and Georgian.

   #6. Dmitri Lipovtsev (207-C-86, currently plays in Ukraine) was the major contributor in Musson's victory against the closely-ranked Avantazh-Politekhnik crushing them 98-60 in the Ukrainian Higher League (second division) on Saturday night. Lipovtsev scored 25 points, had 5 boards, handed out 6 passes and blocked 3 shots (went 5 for 5 at the free throw line) in 35 minutes. Lipovtsev belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #4) and also on the list of best rebounders (fourth place). He has individually a very good year with high stats. Lipovtsev averages: 16.7ppg, 6.8rpg, 2.6apg, 2.1bpg and 1.5spg in the 18 games.

   #7. Nikita Khartchenkov (200-F-87, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German ProA (second division) was not able to secure a victory for USC Leipzig (3-12) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked USC Leipzig was crushed 101-78 in Crailsheim by the higher-ranked Merlins (#14). Khartchenkov was the top scorer with 17 points. This season he has very high stats. Khartchenkov averages: 15.5ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.8apg. He has dual citizenship: Russian and German. Despite Khartchenkov's Russian passport, he previously played for the German U20 national team and probably cannot be called to the Russian team.

   #8. Ruslan Nazmiev (200-G-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Georgia) helped Sokhumi win their game against the fifth-ranked Kutaisi 90-86 in the Georgian Superleague last Saturday. Nazmiev scored 14 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 29 minutes. This year his overall stats are: 9.0ppg, 5.1rpg, 2.7apg and 1.3spg in the 10 games. Nazmiev holds both Uzbekistani and Russian passports.

   #9. Albert Kuppe (195-F-88, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German ProA (second division) couldn't help Oettinger Rockets Gotha (5-10) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance Oettinger Rockets Gotha was defeated 77-65 in Chemnitz by the leading BV 99. Kuppe was the second best scorer with 12 points. His overall stats this season are: 5.9ppg and 2.3rpg. Kuppe has Russian and German nationalities. Despite his Russian passport, Kuppe previously played for the German U18 national team.

   #10. Alexey Chubrevich (212-C-86, currently plays in Israel) managed to help Maccabi Bazan Haifa in a victory against the eighth-ranked Ironi Ashkelon 111-94 in the Israeli Winner League in Sunday night's game. He recorded only 2 points in 4 minutes on the court. This year Chubrevich's overall stats are: 1.9ppg and 1.8rpg in the eight games. He has dual citizenship: Russian and Israeli.

Sichuan - CSKA 49:92 CSKA Moscow victoriously opened the EuroLeague China Tour. The EuroLeague current champions fired past Sichuan in the opener. Nando De Colo (196-SG-87) nailed 18 points to lead the visitors. CSKA rallied off to a 20:9 lead early in the game. The Moscow team secured a 29:19 lead after ten minutes. Khimky-Podmoskovye Moscow Region (Superleague 1) signed 21-year old point guard Vasily Martynov (185-95) from BC Samara-SGEU. In 30 Superleague 1 games he had 3.4ppg last season. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. Spartak Primorie Vladivostok (Superleague 1) inked 28-year old power forward Maxim Krivosheev (207-106kg-88). It is actually his comeback to Vladivostok as he has played here before.
