Khimky proved their highest ambitions in the EuroLeague season. Having overcome the concerns of financial stability the Russian powerhouse showed first-class basketball tonight to slam visiting Maccabi. K.C. Rivers (196-G-87, college: Clemson) nailed 20 points to pace the winners.
Maccabi Tel-Aviv got to a flying start. Devin Smith scored 7 points in the opening quarter as the visitors gained a 25:19 lead. Khimky used a 16:0 run midway through the second term to take a 40:29 lead. The hosts ensured a 46:34 halftime advantage. The margin grew throughout the third term as Khimky piled up a comfortable 20-point advantage at the final break. Khimky never looked back en route to a convincing victory at the end. Paul Davis (211-C-84, college: Michigan St.) posted 16 points, while Petteri Koponen (194-PG-88) netted 15 points for the winning team. Lior Eliyahu (206-SF-85) answered with 17 points for Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Shawn James (207-C-83, college: Northeastern) chipped in 14 points in the losing case.

Zalgiris - Lokomotiv 63:85 Lokomotiv demolish Zalgiris in Kaunas to tie the Semifinal series at 1-1. The Russian team won the second game of the series 85:63 and now will head to Krasnodar for another two games. The game was mostly controlled by Lokomotiv. Zalgiris managed to win second period 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ataman - Avtodor 69:82 Avtodor clinches Bronze medals in Superleague as they swept the series for the third place against Ataman. Avtodor added 82:69 win for 3-0 in the series.
