Here is the weekly review of the top performing Russian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former U20 international guard Valeriya Musina (183-87, college: Lee, currently plays in Poland). She led CCC Polkowice to a victory over the ninth-ranked AZS Rzeszow (2-12) crushing them 93-39 in the Polish PLKK in Saturday night's game. Musina was MVP of the game. She scored 23 points and had 3 steals in 20 minutes on the court. CCC Polkowice (12-1) is placed second in the PLKK. It was her team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Musina has relatively good stats this year: 11.1ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.2apg, 1.7spg, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 66.7% in the 13 games she played so far. She played for the Russian U20 national team six years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former U21 international power forward Jelena Reshetko (184-86, currently plays in Finland). She was the major contributor in a Catz Lappeenranta's victory against the closely-ranked BC Nokia (10-5) 85-66 in the Finnish SM-sarja in Sunday night's game. Reshetko scored 23 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Catz Lappeenranta (17-2) is placed first in the SM-sarja. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Reshetko's eighth season with the team. She has individually a very good year with high stats. Reshetko averages: 15.8ppg, 10.5rpg, 1.8apg, 1.1bpg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 61.4%(105-171), 3FGP: 66.7% and FT: 81.9%. She played for the Russian U21 national team in 2007.

   #3. The Russian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former international center Oksana Zakalyuzhnaya (198-77, currently plays in Turkey). Zakalyuzhnaya contributed to Mersin's victory against the closely-ranked Antakya (7-7) 70-66 in the Turkish TKBL last Sunday. She scored 8 points and added 3 passes in only 14 minutes. It was his first game for Mersin this season. Her team is placed fifth in the TKBL. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Zakalyuzhnaya's first year with the team. Zakalyuzhnaya played for the Russian national team seven years ago.

   #4. Center Irina Osipova (196-81, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TKBL could not help Istanbul Universitesi (6-8) in their last game on Sunday. Despite her good performance Istanbul Universitesi was defeated 64-54 on the road by the much higher-ranked Kayseri (#3). Osipova recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 11 rebounds. She also added 4 assists and 3 steals. It's Osipova's first season with the team. This year Osipova has relatively solid stats: 10.3ppg, 8.6rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg. She is also Russian national team player.

U20 international power forward Ksenia Tikhonenko (193-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Romania) contributed to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Targu Mures (5-11) crushing them 80-43 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Saturday night's game. Tikhonenko scored 9 points and added 3 assists in 17 minutes. CSM Targoviste (14-1) is placed second in the Liga Nationala. It was her team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. This year Tikhonenko's overall stats are: 8.4ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.6apg in the 15 games. She has a dual citizenship: Russian and Kazakhstan. Tikhonenko plays currently for the Russian U20 national team.

Guard Yana Panevina (168-91, currently plays in Belarus) was the main contributor in Tsmoki-Minsk's victory against the closely-ranked Gorizont (8-3) 57-50 in a derby game in the Belarusian Premier League in Saturday night's game. She was the best player in that game. Panevina recorded 24 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Tsmoki-Minsk (9-2) is placed second in the Premier League. Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Panevina has reliable stats this season: 11.2ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.2apg and 1.2spg. She is a former U20 international player as she played for the Russian team two years ago.

   #7. Former U20 international forward Regina Galayda (185-89, currently plays in Israel) was not able to help Maccabi Ramat Hen (6-6) in their game against Elitzur Ramla (8-5) in the Israeli D1. Galayda cannot count Monday's game as one of the best ones. She scored only 2 points. Maccabi Ramat Hen was defeated 68-63 in Ramla by the second-ranked Elitzur. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This season Galayda averages just 1.8ppg. She used to play for the Russian U20 national team four years ago.

Forward Anastasiya Kolotilschikova (182-90, currently plays in Belarus) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Victoria-UOR (3-9) crushing them 106-71 in the Belarusian Premier League last Saturday. Kolotilschikova scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in a mere 16 minutes. BK Sozh-GGU Gomel (12-3) is placed second in the Premier League. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. Kolotilschikova's stats this year are: 11.5ppg and 5.0rpg in the two games. She used to play for the Russian U20 national team back in 2010.


The list of other players, who all have Russian passport but never been selected to any of Russian national teams:

   #1. Ekaterina Abramzon (185-F-87, currently plays in Romania) was the major contributor in a Alba Iulia's victory against the tenth-ranked Sp.Studentesc (7-9) 73-60 in the Romanian Liga Nationala last Saturday. Abramzon scored 17 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists. CSU Alba Iulia (12-4) is placed fourth in the Liga Nationala. It was her team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. This season Abramzon averages: 7.0ppg, 4.2rpg, 2.0apg and 1.6spg. She has a dual citizenship: Russian and Israeli.

   #2. Anna Sokolan (178-G-84, currently plays in Bulgaria) led Neftochimic to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Dunav 8806 (11-3) 91-76 in the Bulgarian NBL on Saturday night. Sokolan scored 13 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 28 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Neftochimic 2010 Burgas (15-0) is placed first in the NBL. So far her team won all fifteen games in the Regular Season. It's Sokolan's seventh season with the team. This year she averages: 9.9ppg, 3.3rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg in the 15 games she played so far. Sokolan is another player who holds two passports: Ukrainian and Russian.

   #3. Experienced Olga Fedorova (189-C-78, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LF2 (12th division) could not help the league outsider Arxil Pontevedra (0-11) in their last game on Saturday. Despite her very good performance the 11th-placed Arxil Pontevedra was defeated 86-79 on the road by the much higher-ranked Al-Qazeres (#3) in the Group A. Fedorova was the top scorer with 24 points. She also added 7 rebounds, passed 4 assists and added 2 blocks. Fedorova belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #7. She has very reliable stats this season: 14.7ppg, 9.4rpg, 1.5apg and 2.0spg.

   #4. Elena Vishnyakova (191-F-78, college: G.Washington, currently plays in France) led Laveyron to a victory over one of league's weakest teams CFBB (2-13) 56-49 in the French LF2 (12th division) on Saturday night. Vishnyakova was the best player in that game. She had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 10 rebounds in 30 minutes. US Laveyron Drome (9-5) is placed fifth in the LF2. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. Vishnyakova belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #2 with 10.3rpg. This year her other stats are: 12.8ppg, 1.5apg and 1.8spg in the 12 games. Vishnyakova has both Russian and French nationalities.

   #5. Tatiana Shapochkina (179-G-85, currently plays in Belarus) was the main contributor in a Olimpia GrGAU's victory against the closely-ranked Berezina-RCOR (4-6) crushing them 91-41 in the Belarusian Premier League last Saturday. Shapochkina was the top player that evening. She recorded 15 points and had 3 steals in a mere 16 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. SBK Olimpia Grodno (10-0) is placed first in the Premier League. So far her team won all ten games in the Regular Season. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Shapochkina is ranked eighth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of most steals (fifth place). She has very reliable stats this year: 14.0ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.1apg and 2.7spg in the 10 games. Shapochkina also holds two passports: Ukrainian and Russian.

   #6. Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-C-81, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tatiana Shapochkina and both played together in the last Belarusian Premier League game. Alyoshkina contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Berezina-RCOR crushing them 91-41. She recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds. Alyoshkina is currently first on the list of best rebounders. She has very reliable stats this season: 12.0ppg, 11.4rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg. Alyoshkina has Russian and Ukrainian nationalities.

   #7. Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-C-89, currently plays in Belarus) was not able to help the league outsider one of league's weakest teams Gorizont in their game against Tsmoki-Minsk in the Belarusian Premier League. She recorded 7 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 24 minutes. Her team lost 50-57. Khomenchuk is currently second on the league's list of best rebounders with 10.1rpg. She also averaged so far 10.2ppg and 1.2apg in the nine games. Similarly like Alyoshkina and Shapochkina above Khomenchuk has dual citizenship: Russian and Ukrainian.

   #8. Ludmila Tymkova (190-C, currently plays in Ukraine), who plays in the Ukrainian Higher League (12th division) was not able to secure a victory for BK Frankivsk-Halichina (1-10) in their last game on Sunday. Despite her good performance the bottom-ranked BK Frankivsk-Halichina was crushed 108-70 in Kirovograd by the higher-ranked Elizabeth-Basket (#3). Tymkova scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Tymkova is currently fifth on the league's list of best blockers. She has very reliable stats this season: 10.2ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.1spg.

   #9. Zhanna Horodetskaya (180-G-79, currently plays in Belarus) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Tsmoki-Minsk in their game against Olimpia GrGAU in the Belarusian Premier League. Horodetskaya scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 29 minutes. Her team lost 43-58. This year Horodetskaya's total stats are: 6.1ppg and 2.9rpg in the eight games. She has Russian and Belarusian nationalities.

   #10. Irina Mazjoukhina (181-PF-76, currently plays in Luxembourg) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Basket Esch crushing them 97-63 in the Luxembourg Diekirch League on Saturday night. Mazjoukhina scored 11 points. Mazjoukhina's total stats this season are: 8.9ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.6apg.

Enisey Krasnoyarski kraj (PBL) confirmed in their roster 26-year old swingman Ekaterina Kiryanova (180-67kg-90). She played there last season. In 30 PBL games she recorded 9.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg. Kiryanova also played 8 games in Eurocup where she averaged 10.3ppg, 2.6rpg, 1.9apg and 1.8spg. The previous (14-15) season she played at Neftyanik (Superleague 1). In 40 games she averaged 9.9ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.5apg and 2.3spg (in top 3) in 2014-15 season. MKS Polkowice (BLK) confirmed in their roster 29-year old Russian ex-international guard Valeriya Musina (183-87, college: Lee). She has played there for the last six seasons. Catz Lappeenranta (SM-sarja) confirmed in their roster 30-year old Russian forward Elena Reshetko (184-86). She has played there for the last eleven seasons. In 27 SM-sarja games she had very impressive stats: 16.5ppg, 8.8rpg, 2.4apg and 1.8spg last season. She helped them to win the league title.
