Banvit registered the second win in EuroCup Last 16. They toppled Triumph at home court for 2-1 record in Group I. Charles Davis (205-C-84, college: Alabama) was a usual topscorer for the Turkish team with 26 points and 6 boards. Triumph suffered the third loss in a row at the tournament.
Banvit made sure they started the game strong. The Turkish team went on a 22:11 run in the opening ten minutes. Banvit kept Triumph at bay throughout the second term. The Turkish team piled up a 48:34 halftime lead. But the intrigue was not done for the night in this one. Triumph resurrected in the third term. The visitors triggered a 28:14 rally to claw their way back into the contest. The teams entered the final term tied at 62. Banvit however quickly returned the lead. The home team picked up the tempo as they unloaded 24 points in the fourth frame and sealed the winning outcome at the end. Kalin Lucas (185-PG-89, college: Michigan St.) posted 15 points, while Keith Simmons (196-G-85, agency: Interperformances, college: Holy Cross) and Serkan Erdogan (190-G-78) chipped in 12 points each in the winning case. Tasmin Mitchell (201-F-86, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, college: LSU) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds for Triumph. Yuval Naimy (188-PG-85) had 20 points in the loss.

Enisey Krasnoyarsk (VTB) re-signed 30-year old guard Vasili Zavoruev (197-93kg-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov). He played there last season. In 13 FIBA Europe Cup games he averaged 9.3ppg, 2.2rpg and 5.1apg. Zavoruev helped them to make it to the quarterfinals. Dynamo Magnitogorsk Cheliabinsk (Superleague 2) inked 26-year old Russian guard Alexander Matveev (194-94kg-91). He played most recently at Impuls BGUIR Minsk in Belarusian Premier League. In 26 games he recorded 5.9ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.7apg and 1.7spg last season.
