Energy Ivanovo - Spartak N. 65-56

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when ninth ranked Energy Ivanovo (3-9) defeated at home 8th ranked Spartak Noginsk (2-8) 65-56. It looked good early as Spartak Noginsk took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Energy Ivanovo took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 9 points. They also forced 22 Spartak Noginsk turnovers. Even a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds by Montenegrin center Natasa Popovic (194-82) did not help to save the game for Spartak Noginsk. Center Anna Tolikova (19-86) added 16 points and 5 rebounds. Spartak Noginsk's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Energy Ivanovo moved-up to eighth place. Spartak Noginsk at the other side dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Energy Ivanovo will play against league's second-placed Dynamo Moscow on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
