Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Russians who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is former U21 international power forward Jelena Reshetko (184-86, currently plays in Finland). She led Catz Lappeenranta to a victory over the closely-ranked Honka (13-8) crushing them 87-65 in the Finnish SM-sarja in Sunday night's game. Reshetko was MVP of the game. She had a double-double by scoring 38 points and getting 10 rebounds. Reshetko also added 4 blocks in 30 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Catz Lappeenranta (19-2) is placed first in the SM-sarja. It was her team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. It's Reshetko's eighth season with the team. She has individually a very good year with high stats. Reshetko averages: 17.0ppg, 10.4rpg, 1.7apg, 1.3bpg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 63.9%(131-205) and FT: 78.0% in the 20 games she played so far. She played for the Russian U21 national team six years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to U20 international power forward Ksenia Tikhonenko (193-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Romania. Tikhonenko could not help CSM Targoviste (3-7) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite her good performance the fifth-placed CSM Targoviste was defeated 65-57 on the road by the lower-ranked MKB Euroleasing (#6) in the group B of Euroleague. Tikhonenko was the second best scorer with 11 points. She also added 9 rebounds. There are only two games left until the end of the Euroleague Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Tikhonenko's first season with the team. Tikhonenko's overall stats this year are: 6.1ppg, 5.1rpg, 2FGP: 45.8% and FT: 46.7%. She has a dual citizenship: Russian and Kazakhstan. Tikhonenko is in the roster of the Russian U20 national team.

   #3. The Russian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former international center Oksana Zakalyuzhnaya (198-77, currently plays in Turkey). Zakalyuzhnaya contributed to Mersin's victory against the closely-ranked Antakya (7-8) 70-66 in the Turkish TKBL last Sunday. She scored 8 points and added 3 passes in only 14 minutes. Mersin BSH Bld (10-5) is placed fifth in the TKBL. It was her team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. This year Zakalyuzhnaya's overall stats are: 4.0ppg, 1.5rpg, 1.5apg in the two games. She played for the Russian national team seven years ago.

   #4. Center Irina Osipova (196-81, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to help Istanbul Universitesi (7-8) in their game against Kayseri (12-3) in the Turkish TKBL. Despite her very good performance on Sunday night Osipova recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 11 rebounds. She also added 4 assists and 3 steals. Osipova has relatively good stats this season: 10.2ppg, 8.5rpg, 2.1apg and 1.1spg. She is also Russian national team player.

   #5. Former U20 international guard Yana Panevina (168-91, currently plays in Belarus) was the main contributor in Tsmoki-Minsk's victory against the closely-ranked Gorizont (8-4) 57-50 in a derby game in the Belarusian Premier League in Saturday night's game. Panevina was the best player in that game. She recorded 24 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 31 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Tsmoki-Minsk (10-2) is placed second in the Premier League. The Regular Season already ended. This year Panevina has relatively solid stats: 10.9ppg, 2.1rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg in the 12 games. She used to play for the Russian U20 national team two years ago.

   #6. Forward Regina Galayda (185-89, currently plays in Israel) was not able to secure a victory for Maccabi Ramat Hen (6-7) in their game against Elitzur Netanya (4-9) in the Israeli D1. She scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 39 minutes. Maccabi Ramat Hen lost 71-75 in Netanya to the one of league's weakest teams (#8) Elitzur. It was Maccabi Ramat Hen's third consecutive loss in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This year Galayda's total stats are: 2.2ppg and 1.2rpg in the 10 games. She is a former U20 international player as she played for the Russian team four years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Russian passport but never been selected to any of Russian national teams:

   #1. Anna Sokolan (178-G-84, currently plays in Bulgaria) led Neftochimic to a victory against the fifth-ranked Montana 2003 (6-10) 76-70 in the Bulgarian NBL on Wednesday night. She scored 16 points and added 3 passes (went 6 for 6 at the free throw line) in 28 minutes. Neftochimic 2010 Burgas (16-0) is placed first in the NBL. So far her team won all sixteen games in the Regular Season. Sokolan is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's her seventh year in Neftochimic's roster. Sokolan has relatively good stats this season: 10.3ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1spg in the 16 games she played so far. She has a dual citizenship: Ukrainian and Russian.

   #2. Ekaterina Abramzon (185-F-87, currently plays in Romania) was the major contributor in a Alba Iulia's victory against the ninth-ranked Sp.Studentesc (8-10) 73-60 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Saturday night's game. Abramzon scored 17 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists. CSU Alba Iulia (12-5) is placed fourth in the Liga Nationala. It was her team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. Abramzon's overall stats this season are: 7.6ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.9apg and 1.5spg. She is another player who holds two passports: Russian and Israeli.

   #3. Tatiana Shapochkina (179-G-85, currently plays in Belarus) led Olimpia GrGAU to a victory over the closely-ranked Gorizont (8-4) 77-60 in the Belarusian Premier League last Wednesday. Shapochkina was the top player that evening. She scored 17 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. SBK Olimpia Grodno (11-0) is placed first in the Premier League. So far her team won all eleven games in the Regular Season. The Regular Season already ended. Shapochkina is currently seventh on the league's list of top scorers and also on the list of most steals (fifth place). She has very reliable stats this season: 14.3ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.0apg and 2.7spg. Shapochkina has both Ukrainian and Russian nationalities.

   #4. Experienced Elena Vishnyakova (191-F-78, college: G.Washington, currently plays in France) contributed to a 1-point Laveyron's victory against the tenth-ranked Dunkerque (5-10) 61-60 in the French LF2 (12th division) on Saturday night. She scored 11 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 34 minutes. US Laveyron Drome (9-5) is placed fifth in the LF2. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. Vishnyakova is ranked second on the list of the best rebounders in the league with 10.3rpg. This year her other stats are: 12.8ppg, 1.5apg and 1.8spg in the 12 games. Vishnyakova also holds two passports: Russian and French.

   #5. Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-C-81, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Tatiana Shapochkina. But that was another game of her team in Belarusian Premier League which we would like to mention. Alyoshkina contributed to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked Berezina-RCOR (4-7) crushing them 91-41. She recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds. SBK Olimpia Grodno (11-0) is placed first in the Premier League. So far her team won all eleven games in the Regular Season. Alyoshkina is the league's best rebounder. She has very reliable stats this season: 11.8ppg, 11.0rpg, 1.4apg and 1.1spg. Alyoshkina has dual citizenship: Russian and Ukrainian.

   #6. Olga Fedorova (189-C-78, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LF2 (12th division) could not help the league outsider Arxil Pontevedra (0-12) in their last game. Despite her good performance Arxil Pontevedra (#11) lost 60-67 on the road to the leading Cortegada in the Group A. Fedorova scored 11 points, had 8 boards, dished 3 assists and stole 3 balls in 30 minutes. Fedorova belongs to league's best rebounders (ranked #7) and also on the list of best blockers (third place). She has very reliable stats this year: 14.3ppg, 9.1rpg, 1.6apg and 2.0spg in the 11 games.

   #7. Irina Mihailova (191-F-81, currently plays in Sweden) was not able to help Northland in their game against Norrkoping Dolphins in the Swedish Damligan. Mihailova scored 6 points. Her team was crushed by 27 points 82-55. Her total stats this season are: 3.0ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5spg. Mihailova has Moldovan and Russian nationalities.

   #8. Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-C-89, currently plays in Belarus) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Gorizont in their game against Tsmoki-Minsk in the Belarusian Premier League. She recorded 7 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 24 minutes. Her team lost 50-57. Khomenchuk is currently third on the league's list of best rebounders with 9.7rpg. She also averaged so far 9.4ppg and 1.2apg in the 10 games. Khomenchuk has dual citizenship: Russian and Ukrainian.

   #9. Ludmila Tymkova (190-C, currently plays in Ukraine) couldn't help BK Frankivsk-Halichina in their game against Elizabeth-Basket in the Ukrainian Higher League (12th division). Despite her very good performance last Sunday She scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Tymkova has reliable stats this season: 10.1ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg.

   #10. Viktoriya Pomadina (188-F, currently plays in Slovenia) couldn't help Jezica in their game against AJM Maribor in the Slovenian SKL. Pomadina scored only 4 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Her team was defeated 70-56. Pomadina is currently second on the league's list of best blockers. She has averaged so far 3.4ppg and 5.8rpg.

Mersin - Dynamo Kursk 70:84 Dynamo Kursk stayed on the winning track in EuroLeague regular season. The Russian powerhouse knocked down Mersin in Turkey to improve at 9-0 record on top of Group A. Nneka Ogwumike (189-F/C-90, college: Stanford) scored 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to pace the winners. Mersin got to a confident start. The Turkish team ensured a 22:14 lead after ten minutes. 26-year old center Brittney Griner (203-C-90) had a great game in the last round for league's best team UMMC and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 14. She had the game-high 26 points adding five rebounds for UMMC in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Dynamo M. (#8, 4-8) with 53-point margin 100-47. Natalja Gvozdeva (191-C/F-77) put on an amazing game in the last round for Stavropolchanka-Universitet Stavropol, receiving a Eurobasket.com Superleague 1 Player of the Week award for round 22. The 39-year old player had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, while her team beat UMMC Junior (#10, 5-17) 76-68. Stavropol maintains the 5th position in Russian Superleague 1.
