#1. This week's number one is an experienced former international center Oksana Zakalyuzhnaya (198-77, currently plays in Turkey). She led Mersin to a victory against the closely-ranked Tarsus Bld (11-6) 71-65 in a derby game in the Turkish TKBL in Saturday night's game.
Zakalyuzhnaya scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 23 minutes on the court.
Mersin BSH Bld (12-5) is placed fourth in the TKBL.
It was her team's eighth consecutive victory in a row.

#2. Second place goes to an international center Irina Osipova (196-81, currently plays in Turkey). Osipova was the major contributor in an Istanbul Universitesi's victory against the league outsider Edremit (1-16) 83-68 in the Turkish TKBL last Sunday.
She recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 12 rebounds. Osipova also added 3 assists and 3 steals (made all of her six free throws).
Istanbul Universitesi SK (8-9) is placed eighth in the TKBL.
It's Osipova's first season with the team.
She has relatively good stats this year: 10.8ppg, 8.6rpg, 2.2apg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 49.7% and FT: 78.4%.
Osipova is in the roster of the Russian senior national team.
#3. The Russian player who performed third best last week abroad was former U21 international power forward Jelena Reshetko (184-86, currently plays in Finland). Reshetko contributed to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked TuRi (6-16) crushing them 96-60 in the Finnish SM-sarja in Saturday night's game.
She scored 15 points, made 4 passes and 3 steals.
Catz Lappeenranta (20-2) is placed first in the SM-sarja.
It was her team's eighth consecutive victory in a row.
Reshetko is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's her eighth year in Catz Lappeenranta's roster.
Reshetko has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages: 16.9ppg, 10.0rpg, 1.8apg, 1.2bpg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 63.7%(137-215) and FT: 77.1%.
Reshetko played for the Russian U21 national team six years ago.
#4. Power forward Ksenia Tikhonenko (193-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Romania) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Craiova (8-13) 84-66 in the Romanian Liga Nationala last Saturday.
She scored 8 points in 20 minutes.
CSM Targoviste (16-1) is placed third in the Liga Nationala.
It was her team's tenth consecutive victory in a row.
This year Tikhonenko's overall stats are: 8.5ppg, 6.8rpg and 1.4apg in the 17 games.
She has a dual citizenship: Russian and Kazakhstan.
Tikhonenko is also Russian U20 national team player.
#5. Former U20 international guard Yana Panevina (168-91, currently plays in Belarus), who plays in the Belarusian Premier League could not help Tsmoki-Minsk (12-3) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Panevina's good performance the second-placed Tsmoki-Minsk was defeated 68-54 at home by the leading Olimpia GrGAU in the Group A.
She was the second best scorer with 11 points.
There are only three games left until the end of the Second Stage. So now every game will be critical.
This season Panevina has relatively solid stats: 10.5ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.9apg and 1.3spg.
She used to play for the Russian U20 national team

#6. Forward Regina Galayda (185-89, currently plays in Israel) managed to help Maccabi Ramat Hen in a victory against the closely-ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (6-9) 71-59 in the Israeli D1 on Monday night.
Galayda scored only 2 points and added 6 assists in 17 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Maccabi Ramat Hen (8-7) is placed third in the D1.
Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial.

#7. Former U20 international forward Anastasiya Kolotilschikova (182-90, currently plays in Belarus) was not able to help Sozh Gomel (14-5) in their game against Tsmoki-Minsk (12-3) in the Belarusian Premier League.

#2.Anna Sokolan (178-G-84, currently plays in Bulgaria), who plays in the Bulgarian NBL could not help Neftochimic (17-1) to beat Haskovo 2012 (9-9).
She scored 8 points.
The league leader Neftochimic was defeated 84-80 on the road by the lower-ranked Haskovo 2012 (#3).
It was Neftochimic's first loss after seventeen consecutive victories.
Sokolan has been at the team for seven years.

#3.Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-C-81, currently plays in Belarus) led Olimpia GrGAU to a victory against the second-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (12-3) 68-54 in the Belarusian Premier League in Saturday night's game.
Alyoshkina had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 10 rebounds. She also added and 3 steals in 40 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group A. SBK Olimpia Grodno (14-1) is placed first.

Experienced Elena Vishnyakova (191-F-78, college: G.Washington, currently plays in France), who plays in the French LF2 (12th division) was not able to help Laveyron (9-7) in their last game on Saturday. Despite her good performance Laveyron was crushed 94-62 at home by the second-ranked COB Calais.
Vishnyakova was the second best scorer with 12 points. She also added 8 rebounds.
Vishnyakova is ranked second on the list of the best rebounders in the league.
She has very reliable stats this season: 12.8ppg, 10.1rpg, 1.5apg and 1.7spg.
Vishnyakova also holds two passports: Russian and French.
#5.Tatiana Shapochkina (179-G-85, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Lyubov Alyoshkina and both played together in the last Belarusian Premier League game.
Shapochkina contributed to a Olimpia GrGAU's victory against the second-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (12-3) 68-54.
She scored 8 points, had 9 boards, passed 3 assists and added 6 steals in 30 minutes.
Shapochkina is ranked eighth on the list of the top scorers in the league and also on the list of most steals (second place).

Prince, the Sky's leading scorer last season, got a Russian passport in 2010. She will compete for the Russian National Team in the EuroBasket tournament that begins June 15 in France. The Sky announced Friday it had signed Prince, a fourth-year pro from Rutgers, to the new deal, with no length specified. Prince could miss up to seven of the 34 Sky games while trying to help Russia qualify for the 2014 World Championships - and possibly compromising the Sky's chances to make the WNBA playoffs for the first time in franchise history. "We knew all along this was going to happen," Sky coach and general manager Pokey Chatman said. "It's something you prepare for." Spartak Vidnoe MR have quickly found the new head coach for the team. Alexandr Vasin will take over the Russian powerhouse after Pokey Chatman had decided to step down from the bridge. Alexandr Vasin worked as assistant coach with Nadezhda Orenburg during the last two seasons. Previously he also worked as assistant coach with Dynamo Moscow and St. Poelten in Austria. Spartak Vidnoe Moscow Region will have a new head coach next season. Pokey Chatman has decided to leave the team. She worked as head coach of Spartak since 2009. Previously Pokey Chatman spent two seasons as assistant coach with the Vidnoe team. The US specialist led the team to two EuroLeague titles in 2009 and 2010.
