Here is the weekly review of the top performing Russian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an experienced former international center Oksana Zakalyuzhnaya (198-77, currently plays in Turkey). She led Mersin to a victory over the closely-ranked Samsun (1-2) crushing them 81-60 in the Turkish TKBL in Sunday night's game. Zakalyuzhnaya was MVP of the game. She had a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 10 rebounds. Zakalyuzhnaya also added 2 blocks in 28 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Mersin BSH Bld (15-5) is placed fourth in the TKBL. It was her team's 11th consecutive victory in a row. This year Zakalyuzhnaya averages: 8.0ppg, 3.7rpg, 2FGP: 55.6%(25-45) and FT: 75.0% in the seven games she played so far. She played for the Russian senior national team seven years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former U21 international power forward Jelena Reshetko (184-86, currently plays in Finland). Reshetko was the main contributor in a Catz Lappeenranta's victory against the closely-ranked Forssan Alku (16-9) 85-73 in the Finnish SM-sarja on Saturday night. She was the best player in that game. Reshetko recorded 24 points and grabbed 7 rebounds (made all of her six free throws) in 31 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Catz Lappeenranta (23-2) is placed first in the SM-sarja. It was her team's 11th consecutive victory in a row. It's Reshetko's eighth season with the team. She belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #9 with 17.0ppg. This year Reshetko's other stats are: 9.5rpg, 1.8apg, 1.2bpg, 1.5spg, 2FGP: 63.6%(157-247), 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 78.1% in the 24 games. She played for the Russian U21 national team in 2007.

   #3. The Russian player who performed third best last week abroad was former U20 international guard Valeriya Musina (183-87, college: Lee, currently plays in Euroleague). Musina contributed to a CCC Polkowice's victory against the closely-ranked Nadezhda Orenburg (8-4) 76-70 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. She scored 10 points. CCC Polkowice (6-6) is placed third in group C. Musina's overall stats this season are: 7.5ppg, 3.8rpg, 2.2apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 23.3%, 3FGP: 28.6% and FT: 57.6%. She played for the Russian U20 national team six years ago.

   #4. Center Irina Osipova (196-81, currently plays in Turkey) helped Istanbul Universitesi win their game against the 11th-ranked TED Ankara (7-13) 71-66 in the Turkish TKBL on Sunday night. She recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 11 rebounds. Osipova also added 3 blocks and 3 steals (made all of her five free throws). Istanbul Universitesi SK (9-10) is placed seventh in the TKBL. Osipova is currently sixth on the list of best rebounders. She has very reliable stats this season: 11.0ppg, 8.6rpg, 2.2apg and 1.5spg. Osipova is also Russian national team player.

U20 international power forward Ksenia Tikhonenko (193-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Romania could not help CSM Targoviste (4-8) to beat Spartak Vidnoye (10-2). She recorded 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 20 minutes. The fifth-placed CSM Targoviste lost 84-91 on the road to the leading Spartak Vidnoye in the group B of Euroleague. It was CSM Targoviste's sixth consecutive loss in a row. This year Tikhonenko's overall stats are: 5.5ppg and 4.4rpg in the 14 games. She has a dual citizenship: Russian and Kazakhstan. Tikhonenko plays currently for the Russian U20 national team.

Guard Yana Panevina (168-91, currently plays in Baltic League) helped her Belarusian team Tsmoki-Minsk win their game against the closely-ranked Eclex Tallinn (2-2) 60-54 in the Baltic League on Saturday night. Panevina scored 8 points. BK Tsmoki-Minsk (1-0) is placed third in group A. It's Panevina's first season with the team. Her total stats this year are: 5.4ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.6apg. Panevina is a former U20 international player as she played for the Russian team two years ago.

Former U20 international forward Anastasiya Kolotilschikova (182-90, currently plays in Belarus) was not able to help Sozh Gomel (16-6) in their game against Olimpia GrGAU (16-1) in the Belarusian Premier League. She scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 20 minutes. Sozh Gomel (#2) lost 53-64 in Grodno to the leading Olimpia GrGAU in the Group A. The Second Stage already ended. This year Kolotilschikova's total stats are: 6.0ppg and 3.3rpg in the eight games. She used to play for the Russian U20 national team three years ago.

   #8. Shooting guard Maria Myasnikova (175-92, currently plays in Baltic League) was not able to secure a victory for Victoria-UOR (0-2) in their game against Tim-Scuf (1-2) in the Baltic League. Myasnikova cannot count Tuesday's game as one of the best ones. She scored only 2 points. Victoria-UOR (#4) was crushed 90-57 in Kyiv by the higher-ranked Tim-Scuf (#3) in the group B of Baltic League. There are only four games left until the end of the Baltic League Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. This season Myasnikova averages just 1.5ppg. She plays currently for the Russian U20 national team.

   #1. Ekaterina Abramzon (185-F-87, currently plays in Romania) was the major contributor in a Alba Iulia's victory against the closely-ranked Timisoara (11-10) crushing them 82-61 in the Romanian Liga Nationala last Saturday. Abramzon recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 10 rebounds. She also added 2 blocks. CSU Alba Iulia (15-6) is placed fifth in the Liga Nationala. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. Abramzon's overall stats this season are: 8.4ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg. She has a dual citizenship: Russian and Israeli.

   #2. Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-C-89, currently plays in Baltic League) led her Belarusian team Gorizont to a victory over the closely-ranked Eclex Tallinn (2-2) 86-76 in the Baltic League last Sunday. Khomenchuk was the top player that evening. She had a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 18 rebounds. Khomenchuk also added 3 blocks and 3 steals in 31 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group A. BK Gorizont Minsk (2-0) is placed first. There are only four games left until the end of the Baltic League Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. Khomenchuk has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages: 18.0ppg, 13.5rpg, 2.5bpg and 2.0spg in the two games she played so far. Khomenchuk is another player who holds two passports: Russian and Ukrainian.

   #3. Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-C-81, currently plays in Baltic League) contributed to an easy victory against the third-ranked Tim-Scuf (1-2) 88-71 in the Baltic League last Wednesday. She recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 12 rebounds. SBK Olimpia Grodno (2-0) is placed first in group B. There are only four games left until the end of the Baltic League Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. Alyoshkina has relatively good stats this season: 10.5ppg, 11.0rpg and 1.5apg. She has both Russian and Ukrainian nationalities.

   #4. Experienced Olga Fedorova (189-C-78, currently plays in Spain) was the main contributor in a Arxil Pontevedra's victory against the seventh-ranked Pabellon Ourense (6-10) 52-47 in the Spanish LF2 (12th division) on Saturday night. Fedorova was the top player that evening. She scored 20 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 36 minutes. C.B. Arxil Pontevedra (1-15) is placed 11th in Group A. It was her team's first victory after fifteen consecutive loses. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Fedorova has very impressive stats this year: 15.1ppg, 8.7rpg, 1.4apg and 2.0spg in the 15 games.

   #5. Tatiana Shapochkina (179-G-85, currently plays in Baltic League) is a teammate of previously mentioned Lyubov Alyoshkina and both played together in the last Baltic League game. Shapochkina contributed to an easy victory against the third-ranked Tim-Scuf (1-2) 88-71. She scored 12 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists. It was his first game for Olimpia GrGAU this season. It's Shapochkina's first year with the team. Shapochkina also holds two passports: Ukrainian and Russian.

   #6. Zhanna Horodetskaya (180-G-79, currently plays in Belarus), who plays in the Belarusian Premier League could not help Tsmoki-Minsk to beat Gorizont. She scored 8 points in 18 minutes. Her team was badly defeated by 16 points 75-59. This year Horodetskaya's total stats are: 6.2ppg and 2.8rpg in the 13 games. She holds both Russian and Belarusian passports.

Kazanochka Kazan (PBL) signed 30-year old international forward Kristina Alikina (187-86, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov). It is actually her comeback to Kazan as she has played here before. Alikina played last season at Chevakata in Russian PBL league. She managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 23 PBL games she had 6.0ppg, 6.2rpg, 1.2apg and 1.2spg. Kazanochka Kazan (PBL) added to their roster 28-year old guard Maria Savina (188-88). She played last season at Chevakata in the PBL. In 27 games she recorded 3.2ppg and 1.4rpg. Savina also played 6 games in Eurocup where she averaged just 2.7ppg and 3.5rpg. The previous (14-15) season she played at Energy Ivanovo. In 22 games she had 9.2ppg and 2.8rpg. MBA Moscow inks Polina Fedorova - 6 days ago

MBA Moscow (PBL) agreed terms with 21-year old power forward Polina Fedorova (189-95) from Kazanochka. In 5 PBL games she had 7.8ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.2apg and 1.0spg last season. Fedorova also played that season for Energy Ivanovo where in 16 games she recorded 9.2ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.0apg. She also played 6 games in Eurocup where she averaged 8.8ppg and 6.8rpg.
