An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Moscow. First ranked UMMC Ekaterinburg faced 4th ranked Dynamo Moscow. Guests from Ekaterinburg (14-1) smashed host Dynamo Moscow (10-5) 78-58. UMMC Ekaterinburg made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. UMMC Ekaterinburg had a 33-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for UMMC Ekaterinburg especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Latvian Anete Jekabsone-Zogota (177-83) fired 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. International Anna Petrakova (189-84) chipped in 18 points. American power forward Crystal Langhorne (188-86, college: Maryland) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UMMC Ekaterinburg have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-1 record. Dynamo Moscow at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. UMMC Ekaterinburg are looking forward to face league's second-placed Nadezhda Orenburg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dynamo Moscow will have a break next round.

Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Natalia Zhedik (184-88) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 steals. Alexandra Tarasova contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Anna Tolikova (190-86) replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds for Spartak Noginsk. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nadezhda Orenburg have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Dynamo K. Spartak Noginsk at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. Nadezhda Orenburg will play against league's leader UMMC Ekaterinburg at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Spartak Noginsk will play against Spartak Vidnoye (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Rest of the games of round 16 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Chevakata was crushed by Dynamo K. in Kursk 81-60. Spartak V MR smashed Dynamo-GUVD at home 86-56. Energy Ivanovo won against Rostov on the opponent's court 48-40.
The best stats of 16th round was 19 points and 11 rebounds by Michelle Snow of Dynamo K..

Dynamo Kursk shot 20 for 28 from the free-throw line, while Vologda-Chevakata only scored four points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Michelle Snow (196-80, college: Tennessee, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import point guard Temeka Johnson (160-82, college: LSU, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 15 points and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Glory Johnson (191-90, college: Tennessee) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and the former international guard Elena Volkova (175-83) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Vologda-Chevakata. The previous (14-15) season Kaytukova played at BC Rostov (Superleague) where in 39 games she was fifth best scorer with 13.1ppg and recorded 3.5rpg, 3.3apg (top 3) and 2.4spg (in top 2).
