Avtodor Saratov (Superleague) inked 29-year old Ukrainian ex-international guard Steven Burtt (185-84kg-84, college: Iona). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Burtt was tested at Tofas in Turkish TBL league, but left the team two months ago, but the plans were changed. In 15 TBL games he averaged impressive 17.9ppg, 2.7rpg and 4.2apg this season. He also played 8 games in EuroChallenge where he had very remarkable stats: 17.3ppg, 2.8rpg, 4.8apg and 1.3spg. The last season Burtt played at Dnipro in Ukrainian league. In 40 Superleague games he had also great stats: 18.9ppg, 3.1rpg, 5.1apg and 1.4spg. A very good season in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Superleague Honorable Mention. He also played 3 games in VTB United League where he was third best scorer with great 21.3ppg and recorded 3.0rpg, 3.7apg (top 5) and 1.0spg. In 2006 Burtt was drafted by Northeastern Pennsylvania Breakers (USBL) in second round (16th overall). The former Iona College star is in his seventh season in pro basketball. Among other achievements Burtt's team won Ukrainian Cup for two years in a row (2010 and 2011). He received also Eurobasket.com All-VTB League Import Player of the Year award in 2011. Burtt represented Ukraine at the Qualifications to European Championships 2013 last year. His stats at that event were 8 games: 11.0ppg, 2.1rpg, 3.4apg, 1.1spg, FGP: 39.2%, 3PT: 32.4%, FT: 65.2%. Burtt is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Cyprus (Apollon), Greece (Olimpiada), Israel (Ironi Ashkelon), Italy (Novara), Portugal (Benfica), Spain (Menorca Basquet), Ukraine (Ferro-ZNTU Zaporozhye) and USBL Eastern Div. (NEPA B.). Burtt's game is described as: A great scorer, who can easily beat his opponent 1-on-1 and who can also battle inside thanks to a strong body.

Khimky overcame CSKA to open the semifinal series with victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But CSKA Moscow won third quarter 28-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Khimky made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Zalgiris open Semifinals on a high note and does not leave any chances for visiting Lokomotiv. In Game 1 the Lithuanian Champions posted an 80:53 victory.

Mantas Kalnietis (195-PG-86, agency: Interperformances) produced 12 points and American-Greek point guard Nick Calathes (198-PG-89, college: Florida) added 6 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side.
