We bring you last week's top performances from Russians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an experienced former international center Oksana Zakalyuzhnaya (198-77, currently plays in Turkey). Zakalyuzhnaya contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Edremit (1-20) crushing them 99-47 in the Turkish TKBL last Saturday. She scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Mersin BSH Bld (15-6) is placed fourth in the TKBL. It was her team's 12th consecutive victory in a row. This season Zakalyuzhnaya averages: 8.3ppg, 4.1rpg, 2FGP: 53.6% and FT: 75.0%. She played for the Russian senior national team seven years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former U20 international guard Valeriya Musina (183-87, college: Lee, currently plays in Poland). Musina led CCC Polkowice to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Widzew (3-15) crushing them 82-30 in the Polish PLKK on Saturday night. She recorded 11 points in a mere 18 minutes. CCC Polkowice (17-1) is placed first in the PLKK. It was her team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. Musina has relatively good stats this year: 11.1ppg, 2.7rpg, 2.1apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 48.6%, 3FGP: 35.4% and FT: 68.1% in the 14 games she played so far. She played for the Russian U20 national team in 2007.

   #3. The Russian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Irina Osipova (196-81, currently plays in Turkey). She led Istanbul Universitesi to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Besiktas (5-16) crushing them 82-61 in a derby game in the Turkish TKBL last Monday. Osipova had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 11 rebounds in 33 minutes. Istanbul Universitesi SK (11-10) is placed sixth in the TKBL. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Osipova's first season with the team. Osipova is currently seventh on the list of best rebounders with 8.7rpg. This year she also averages: 11.1ppg, 2.2apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 50.8% and FT: 81.3% in the 21 games. Osipova is also a member of the Russian senior national team.

   #4. Power forward Jelena Reshetko (184-86, currently plays in Finland) was the major contributor in a Catz Lappeenranta's victory against the closely-ranked Torpan Pojat (16-5) 68-57 in the Finnish SM-sarja on Sunday night. She recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 15 rebounds. Reshetko also added and 3 steals. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Catz Lappeenranta (24-2) is placed first in the SM-sarja. It was her team's 12th consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Reshetko is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's her eighth year in Catz Lappeenranta's roster. She is currently ninth on the league's list of top scorers. Reshetko has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages: 16.9ppg, 9.8rpg, 1.8apg, 1.1bpg and 1.6spg. Reshetko used to play for the Russian U21 national team back in 2007.

U20 international power forward Ksenia Tikhonenko (193-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov, currently plays in Romania) contributed to a CSM Targoviste's victory against the fifth-ranked Alba Iulia (15-7) 77-66 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Wednesday night's game. She recorded 6 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks in 21 minutes. CSM Targoviste (21-1) is placed first in the Liga Nationala. It was her team's 15th consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This year Tikhonenko's overall stats are: 8.0ppg, 6.8rpg and 1.4apg in the 20 games. She has a dual citizenship: Russian and Kazakhstan. Tikhonenko plays currently for the Russian U20 national team.

   #6. Forward Regina Galayda (185-89, currently plays in Israel), who plays in the Israeli D1 could not help Maccabi Ramat Hen (8-11) in their last game. Despite her good performance the fifth-placed Maccabi Ramat Hen was crushed 76-49 on the road by the leading Maccabi Ashdod in the Places 1-5 group. Galayda scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 27 minutes. It was Maccabi Ramat Hen's fourth consecutive loss in a row. The Second Stage already ended. This year Galayda's total stats are: 2.7ppg and 1.5rpg in the 14 games. She is a former U20 international player as she played for the Russian team four years ago.

   #7. Former U20 international guard Yana Panevina (168-91, currently plays in Baltic League) helped her Belarusian team Tsmoki-Minsk win their game against the third-ranked Eclex Tallinn (1-2) 60-54 in the Baltic League last Saturday. Panevina scored 8 points in 20 minutes. BK Tsmoki-Minsk (2-0) is placed first in group A. There are only four games left until the end of the Baltic League Second Stage. Panevina has averaged so far 5.6ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.6apg in the nine games. She used to play for the Russian U20 national team two years ago.

   #8. Shooting guard Maria Myasnikova (175-92, currently plays in Belarus) was not able to help Victoria-UOR (7-11) in their game against Berezina-RCOR (10-8) in the Belarusian Premier League. Myasnikova recorded 8 points. Victoria-UOR (#2) was defeated 69-59 in Borisovo by the leading Berezina-RCOR in the Group B. The Second Stage already ended. This season Myasnikova averages only 4.7ppg. She plays currently for the Russian U20 national team.

Ekaterina Abramzon (185-F-87, currently plays in Romania) was the major contributor in a Alba Iulia's victory against the closely-ranked Timisoara (12-10) crushing them 82-61 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Saturday night's game. She had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 10 rebounds. Abramzon also added 2 blocks in 38 minutes. CSU Alba Iulia (15-7) is placed fifth in the Liga Nationala. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Abramzon averages: 8.3ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.4spg in the 22 games she played so far. She has a dual citizenship: Russian and Israeli.

   #2. Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-C-89, currently plays in Baltic League) led her Belarusian team Gorizont to a victory over the closely-ranked Eclex Tallinn (1-2) 86-76 in the Baltic League in Sunday night's game. Khomenchuk was MVP of the game. She recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 18 rebounds. Khomenchuk also added 3 blocks and 3 steals. BK Gorizont Minsk (2-1) is placed second in group A. There are only three games left until the end of the Baltic League Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. Khomenchuk has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages: 15.3ppg, 13.0rpg, 1.7bpg and 1.7spg. Khomenchuk is another player who holds two passports: Russian and Ukrainian.

   #3. Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-C-81, currently plays in Baltic League) was the main contributor in a Olimpia GrGAU's victory against the closely-ranked Kibirkstis-Tiche (2-1) 77-72 in the Baltic League last Wednesday. She was MVP of the game. Alyoshkina scored 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group B. SBK Olimpia Grodno (3-0) is placed first. So far her team won all three games in the Second Stage. There are only three games left until the end of the Baltic League Second Stage. So now every game is very crucial. This season Alyoshkina has relatively solid stats: 13.7ppg and 9.3rpg. She has both Russian and Ukrainian nationalities.

   #4. Experienced Olga Fedorova (189-C-78, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LF2 (12th division) could not help Arxil Pontevedra (1-16) in their last game. Despite Fedorova's very good performance the 11th-placed Arxil Pontevedra was badly defeated 78-61 on the road by the higher-ranked (#5) Universitario de Ferrol in the Group A. She had a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 10 rebounds in 31 minutes. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. Fedorova belongs to league's best blockers and is ranked #5 with 0.8bpg. This year her other stats are: 15.7ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.3apg and 1.9spg in the 16 games.

   #5. Anna Sokolan (178-G-84, currently plays in Bulgaria) was not able to help Neftochimic (17-1) in their game against Haskovo 2012 (9-9) in the Bulgarian NBL. Sokolan recorded 8 points. The league leader Neftochimic was defeated 84-80 in Haskovo by the lower-ranked 2012 (#3). Sokolan has been at the team for seven years. Her total stats this season are: 9.7ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.9apg. Sokolan also holds two passports: Ukrainian and Russian.

   #6. Irina Mihailova (191-F-81, currently plays in Sweden) contributed to an easy victory against the fourth-ranked Telge crushing them 75-55 in the Swedish Damligan last Sunday. She recorded 16 points in 22 minutes. This year Mihailova's total stats are: 8.7ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.6apg and 1.3spg in the seven games. She holds both Moldovan and Russian passports.

   #7. Tatiana Shapochkina (179-G-85, currently plays in Belarus) is a teammate of previously mentioned Lyubov Alyoshkina. But that was another game of her team in Belarusian Premier League which we would like to mention. Shapochkina, who plays in the Belarusian Premier League was not able to secure a victory for Olimpia GrGAU (16-2) in their last game on Friday. Despite her good performance the first-placed Olimpia GrGAU was defeated 57-53 on the opponent's court by the second-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk in the Group A. Shapochkina was the second best scorer with 13 points. She also added 4 rebounds. Shapochkina belongs to league's top scorers (ranked #8) and also on the list of most steals (first place). She has very reliable stats this season: 13.2ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.1apg and 3.0spg. Shapochkina has Ukrainian and Russian nationalities.

   #8. Zhanna Horodetskaya (180-G-79, currently plays in Belarus) faced previously mentioned Tatiana Shapochkina in the Belarusian Premier League last game. Horodetskaya contributed to Tsmoki-Minsk's victory against the leader Olimpia GrGAU 57-53. She was MVP of the game. Horodetskaya recorded 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Horodetskaya has averaged so far 7.0ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.1apg. She holds both Russian and Belarusian passports.

   #9. Ludmila Tymkova (190-C-89, currently plays in Ukraine) couldn't help BK Frankivsk-Halichina in their game against Tim-Scuf in the Ukrainian Higher League (12th division), despite her good performance on Saturday night. Tymkova had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds in 39 minutes. But her team was badly defeated by 16 points 86-70. Tymkova is ranked fifth on the list of the best blockers in the league with 0.9bpg. This year her other stats are: 9.1ppg, 5.8rpg and 1.2apg in the 19 games.

   #10. Viktoriya Pomadina (188-F-91, currently plays in Slovenia) couldn't help Jezica in their game against Grosuplje in the Slovenian SKL. Pomadina scored only 4 points and blocked 2 shots. Her team was defeated 72-68. Pomadina is currently first on the league's list of best blockers. She has averaged so far 3.1ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.1bpg.

Nadezhda - Spartak MR 67:62 Nadezhda will play in the title game at the UMMC Cup pre-season tournament. They beat Spartak Moscow Region in the semifinal clash on Friday. Tatiana Petrushina (185-F-90) provided 15 points to lead the Orenburg side. Nadezhda accounted for a 22:17 lead at the first break. Spartak denied the deficit in the second quarter. UMMC - Uni Gyor 92:47 UMMC advanced into UMMC Cup Final. They cruised past Uni Gyor in the first day of the tournament. Anna Petrakova (189-PF-84) posted 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the winning side. UMMC grabbed a 26:9 lead after the opening frame. They extended the lead at 24-point mark at the interval 47:23. Vologda-Chevakata (PBL) signed 29-year old Serbian international point guard Tamara Radocaj (170-87, agency: Interperformances). She has played for the last two seasons at UNI Gyor in Hungarian A Division. In 26 games she had 13.4ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.9apg and 1.3spg last season. Radocaj helped them to make it to the final and Cup semifinals. A very impressive season as she was named to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Honorable Mention and All-Bosmans Team.
